Simply Un-Bear-Able

Hello Stamping Friends,

You are simply going to love this adorable little bear. It's so cute, I can't bearly stand it. Okay, okay, I'll stop with the corny puns.  But seriously, it is too cute.  And this cutie was given to me by one of my downline members, Lucia B, at our last DIVA night.  DIVA night is a big deal in my group.  The top three demos in my group for a quarter are treated to a special night that is just for them.  I cook them a nice dinner, including a delicious dessert.  They get special gifts and make an extra special project.  Lucia was a DIVA for the last quarter and she brought me a gift. I didn't expect that being that the night is all about my DIVA's but I sure was excited to get him.

So now your asking, How do you make it? And how does this apply to Stampin' Up!?  Well, it does, she made it using different size circle dies and the Big Shot.  Plus she embellished the bear with a glimmer red heart that is attached with one of our cute little pins and the eyes and nose are the tiny buttons that match the pin. And of course, that's some stitched grosgrain ribbon around his neck.

See, she used lots of Stampin' Up! product to make the bear.  Thank you so much Lucia. I love him.

If you would like to have a chance at being a DIVA and being spoiled, join my team today. It's only $99 (plus tax) and you get to pick out $125 in product to get you on your way to being a DIVA.  Remember, I'm here to help you get there too.

Time is running out but you still have today and tomorrow to place your order and take advantage of the extra special promotion I am running.  Click HERE for all details that were posted on Thursday.

Cheers!

Hello Stamping Friends,

I love this set. It was a definite must have when I laid my eyes on it back in June when I received the catalog.  There's so many possibilities for it and who doesn't like a card with some drinks on it to cheer you up.  This card follows the theme from yesterday with the paper piercing templates.

I love the colors of this card too.  And what finishes the card off just right is the little umbrella and slice of lime. I mean it, they're great!  This card was part of a class I did last month where each attendee received the paper piercer, mat and pack along with making 6 different cards using the supplies.  See what you miss by not coming to classes?  What are you waiting for, sign up for a class.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade
Cardstock: Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade & Whisper White

Don't forget, there's still time to take advantage of my special. Need the details, click HERE for all details that were posted on Thursday.

Have you Pierced Lately?

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday posting with the Sisters in Stamping.  This week we are sharing with you projects that use paper piercing on them.  I love the way this card turned out.  I think hot air balloons are so cool. Never been in one, but sure would like to. Guess that'll be on the bucket list now.  Hope being that high in the sky won't be too scary for me, lol. With that said of course I loved the You're Amazing stamp set and the coordinating designer series paper, World Spectacular.

I used the apothecary accents framelits after I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting.  I then used the Essentials Paper Piercing pack to pierce around the edge of the framelit. It adds the perfect finishing touch.  I love the new piercing packets so much.  Did you happen to see there's one in the holiday catalog too that coordinates with even more great framelits and stamp sets?  Go check it out.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: You're Amazing
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, & Island Indigo, World Spectacular Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Paper Snips

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more great ideas using the new piercing tools.

Also, don't forget there's still a few days for my special. Click HERE for all the details that were posted yesterday about it.

Time to Pick Up Your Things

Hello Stamping Friends,

Yes, it's time to pick up your clothes and toys and put them away. And I've got just the thing for you, a dresser.  Isn't this a sweet card to give to that new baby?  Okay you can even change out the belongings and change the color to whatever age you need.  Great masculine card, too. The possibilities are endless.

This card is made using a half of sheet of cardstock cut vertically.  Fold it in half, stamp using the wood grain background stamp and then make the bottom of the dresser using the decorative label punch. You will have to punch it twice to get the opening wide enough to look more like legs on a dresser.  The worst part of this card for me is the coloring of the little pieces, some other people would say cutting out the little pieces would be a nightmare. Guess it's all about perspective, lol

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Wood Grain Background stamp, Baby Bundle
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Grey, Stampin' Write Markers: Sahara Sand, pretty in pink, so saffron, wisteria wonder
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Accessories: Subtles Brads, 1/16" punch, dimensionals, paper snips, decorative label punch, snail adhesive

Some 3x3 cards for you

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are ready for some great inspiration today. Today I'm bringing you some great 3x3 cards that one of the members of my downline (Maria P) made and shared at a recent demonstrator meeting.  Maria is always so willing to share her creations with us at meetings and she is so talented. Thanks Maria for sharing. I always love seeing what you create.

The Quint Essential Flower stamp is the perfect size to fill a 3x3 card nicely.

Some punches and the great Summer Smooches DSP to make this adorable card.

Quint Essential again with the wood grain embossing foler.

Some simple embossing with the big shot and some flowers from Perfectly Preserved.

Aren't these cards awesome.  Great little cards that can even be made into tags for some gift bags. Again, Maria, thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.

Still Punchin'

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm on a punchin' kick, I guess. Today there's another punch card for you.  Yes, it was made at my punch class too.  This one was a favorite of mine because it reminded me of those simple toys we used to have as children. Nowadays, the toys are so intricate and complicated that I need a kid to show me how to use it, lol.  Tell me that you haven't run into that.

This card only uses two punches to make the stacking rings. Cool, huh?  Plus, I just love, love, love the polka dots that are all over this card. You know how I love my polka dots.  I even added more polka dots with the big shot. Simply couldn't help myself.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Sweet Essentials (it's the hello, baby that is stamped on the red polka dot paper)
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquiose, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red & Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Snail Adhesive, Word Window Punch, and 1 3/4" circle punch

Here Comes the Bride

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I'm sharing with you another card that was made at one of my punch classes.  Who would have thought you can make a bride from a bunch of punches?  Not me, but I'm sure glad other stampers/crafters are so creative that I can take their idea and make it.  Isn't this neat? I decided to make the card in blue, you know, something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, ..... Well I took someone's idea (old and borrowed),  made it a little different (making it new) and made it in blue. See I covered all my bases.

If you love Stampin' Up! punches and want to make some of your own creations using these punches in new and creative ways, be sure to come to my punch class. It's offered the second Tuesday of every month. I have so much fun making the cards for these classes.  I'm constantly amazed at how much you can make with a circle, square or any other punch for that matter.

Set sail for a new baby

Hello Stamping Friends,

NO, I'm not having a baby. Don't go starting any rumors.  Just sharing with you a card that we made at a  punch class I had.  So cute, isn't it?  Only 3 punches are needed to make the sailboat. (Yes, I used 5 punches total on the card, but I did say only 3 for the sailboat, lol)  Change the greeting and you can easily use this card for a little boy's birthday.

I love how bright and playful it looks.  I used the summer smooches paper to pick out my color combo.  So glad that it worked to use primary colors that are great for kids cards.  I know I say this all the time but this again would be a good card to make multiples of and maybe give as a gift. Now that my brain is rolling, they would make great invitations to a party or even good for thank you cards for a shower or birthday party.  What do you think?

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Curly Cute
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Real Red & Pacific Point, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Yellow grosgrain ribbon, postage stamp punch, 3/4" in square punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, scallop edge punch, 2 1/2" circle punch, dimensionals, snail adhesive

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a little thanks

Hello Stamping Friends,

Just a quick post today, gotta keep on sharing with you. I'm loving it and I've heard from many of you that you are as well.  Today was a very exciting day here (well, not here, but at the soccer field).  Jonah scored his first goal. We were all so excited. Jonah was so cute, it was the end of the period when he scored. When the team came in he asked his coach if he could sit out now. The coach of course said, "NO!" He felt he did his job and now he could take a break.  The coach's vision was much different than Jonah's. LOL

Today's card is a great card to make a ton of.  One color ink, one color cardstock, some dimensionals and 2 stamp sets. Can't get much easier than that right?  This card would be great to make a set of 8 and use them as gifts. Simple, yet elegant.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Forever Young, (thanks stamp is a retired stamp so just use another thanks)
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dimensionals

Let's Do some "Wheelies"

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's time for Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping again. This week we are focusing on projects using wheels. Wheels are a great tool to have but lately they have been left on the sidelines because there are so many other great accessories to use too.  So we decided to bring them out and play today.  My sister-in-law Danielle, laughs when I talk about wheels. She says I need to be careful so I don't pop a wheely. So Danielle, this post is in your honor. Hope you enjoy!

I decided to use the Take a Sip wheel that coordinates with the Morning Cup stamp set (Another great thing about wheels, they coordinate with our awesome stamp sets) to make a little gift idea, a tea bag holder. Isn't it cute, kind of looks like a tea bag right? Just don't steep it in your cup of hot water, you know what will happen right? Consider yourself warned!

Here's the little tag that's hanging from the top of the "tea bag."

And a close-up of top of the holder.  The teapot is attached using a dimensional. Also, I used a dimensional to hold the top closed.

And a picture of it openend.  The holder begins with a 3 x 8 1/2" piece of sahara sand cardstock. I then scored the cardstock at 3", 3 1/4", 3 1/2" and 6 1/2". The tag that's hanging from linen thread is a 1" x 2" piece of cardstock folded in half (1"x1" square).

I free hand cut the sides at an angle. Well, really I cut one side free hand and then I used that cut piece as a pattern to cut the other side to make them the same.  Did the same thing for the little tag.

Pretty easy, right.  I scored first and then wheeled so that my teacups were all facing up no matter which way you looked at it. Yes, you do have to be careful not to wheel the whole thing in one direction or else some of your cups will be upside down.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Morning Cup
Ink: Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Sahara Sand
Accessories, Take a Sip Wheel, Standard Handle, Pink Pirourette & Bravo Burgundy Stampin' Write Markers, Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Snail Adhesive & Linen Thread

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more wheely great ideas.

Treat for a Friend

Hello Stamping Friends,

Well it's taken me almost 2 full months to show you all of the samples I made for the convention display boards, but the end has come. Today is the final project that I stamped for Stampin' Up! to put on display for Convention 2012. I feel so very honored to have been asked to stamp for the displays. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and it made me stretch outside my normal comfort zone.

This final project is a treat box made using the petal cone die. I cut the die cut down and then scored it to make this awesome little chinese take out container type box. Check it out below.

This picture is the decoration on top of the box.  I die cut the flower and then embossed it. Curled the petals a bit and put it all together with dimensionals between each layer. The flower was finished off with a couple of basic rhinestones.  I also used a couple of the stamps from the Affection Collection to make sure the recipient of this box would know just how special they are.

This picture shows the side of the box.  I embossed the petal cone die cuts with the fancy fan embossing folder (which is the same die that I used on the flower layers).  I also made a quick one ince belly band to hold the box closed and to give it a little more finished look.  These are the treat boxes that I made for Brittney's wedding last year. I made about 120 of these guys but let me tell you, I loved making them. We put pink flowers on it instead of the summer starfruit flower you see here.

Stamping Supplies Needed:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Summer Starfruit, Basic Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, & Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Petal Cone Die, Fancy Fan Embossing folder, dimensionals, basic rhinestones, paper snips, summer starfruit 3/8" inch stitched satin ribbon

Love Anyday

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I'm sharing with you another card that I created using the Affection Collection set for convention display board samples. This is the last card but there is one more project that I will share with you tomorrow. This card is a simple card using a monochromatic (one color) color scheme. You can easily use this card for any time, not just Valentine's Day.

I love the multiple layers that frame this card. I truly believe in many instances you can add so much to the overall look of a project by just adding an extra layer. And then the final top layer of whisper white cardstock embossed adds just enough without overpowering.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Cardstock: Raspeberry Ripple, Whisper White, In Color Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories: Dimensionals, Big Shot, Stripes Embossing Folder, In Color Dahlias, Snail Adhesive

Beautiful Memories

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are doing some stamping on this very rainy Tuesday.  It's a great day to sit and makes cards or scrapbooks. I'm working on some invitations for Noah's girlfriend's Sweet 16 party coming up. They look great so far. I will share them after she passes them out. But for now, I'll share a great scrapbook page that I made using the Affection Collection stamp set. Yes, this is a continuation of the convention samples that I made using this set.  There's still a couple more too.

This is an 8 1/2 x 11 landscape page showcasing awesome pictures from Brittney and Vinny's wedding from last year. Let me tell you it wasn't easy narrowing down the pictures for the page. I wanted to add so many more but I believe these three are pretty awesome.

This is just a close-up of the top picture and the little element I added to the photo. It's the banner stamp from the set and then two little buttons (black & white).  This picture captures Brittney's passion for dance (see the blue ballet shoes, yes she needed something blue and lucky me I got to dye them marina mist, that was a real treat) and Vinny's love of soccer (ball in his hand).

Close-up of the bottom picture. I stamped the heart with wings twice and made it dimensional by cutting the heart off of one and attaching it with dinmensionals to the top of the other one.

And finally a close up of the journaling and title section.

Hope you enjoyed this page because I really enjoyed making it and reliving the great moments of that special day.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White & Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Neutrals Buttons, 1/8" Black taffeta ribbon

Perhaps my Favorite Affection Collection

Hello Stamping Friends,

I think this is by far my favorite creation that I made with this set. It's all done in neutral colors and very vintage looking in my opinion. What do you think?

It's not a difficult card that even takes much time to create but the end product is very impressive. Again, my opinon. Guess I'm full of them today.  What makes it look like so much more is the First Edition Specialty paper with a few stamps from the Affection Collection set stamped right on top of the printed paper in a few different colors.

What a great way to let a friend know you are thinking of them or just appreciate their friendship.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, & First Edition Specialty Paper
Accessories: Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Neutrals Buttons, Paper Snips, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals & Snail Adhesive

Today is the final day to take part of this wonderful offer from Stampin' Up! It's All About Love

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome back to the final convention display stamp set tour. This is project 2 of 6, so definitely come back to see the rest.  This card is rather simple but a great card to give to your special someone on an anniversary or just because.  I know I would love to receive a card like this just because.  Maybe we should all send a card out today or give a card to someone for no special reason. Just let them know you are thinking about them.

This set used the word love from the Affection Collections set. I used melon mambo because I wanted to use the scallop dot ribbon to match the polka dots on the hear and the background of the card, but you can easily change the color to make it in the favorite colors of your special someone.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Whisper White & Melon Mambo
Accessories: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dot Folder, Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslits, Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Melon Mambo Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon, Snail Adhesive

Ready to Scrap?

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time for another fabulous Friday post at Sisters in Stamping.  I can't believe it's Friday again.  The weeks are just flying by.  I have been busy keeping up with business and the kid's school activities that I just don't know where the time ends up going.  I do hope you are enjoying the regular postings here on the blog. I sure hope to continue to be able to keep up with it.

This week at Sisters in Stamping we are sharing back to school scrapbook pages with all of you. I decided to pull out the MDS (My Digital Studio) for you.  Well, you got me, it wasn't that difficult to pull it out since it's right on my computer.  I even made it easier to complete this page by using the To the Nines Digital Template.  The layout and colors were already done for me. Isn't that just the coolest thing ever?  I do think I will be purchasing more of these awesome little templates for MDS.

However, I did enhance this page with my own journaling, added the journey definition stamp from the by definition brush set and added the numbers 1-0 over the circles that showed 2010 to cover up that year since it is 2012.  Funny thing, looking at the pictures of the boys now on the page makes me giggle. Jonah looks like a giant and Noah looks kind of little (and he's 7 years older than Jonah).  Guess that's what happens when there's 2 hours between school photos. Can't remember how close or far to go. LOL

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more back to school scrapbook ideas. They aren't all digital either.  Remember the cool thing about digital is that you can create it on the computer to your liking and then if you are a tradionalist you can recreate it with paper.  You can try MDS free for 30 days, head over to my website for more information on that.

Don't forget there are only 2 days left of the Spooktacular Howl-o-ween special for joining the Stampin' Up family and my team.  Hurry up, head over to my website to CLICK JOIN NOW and get $185 worth of products for only $99.

Last Round of Display Samples Begins Today

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today begins the last round of display samples from convention.  This set is called Affection Collection and you can find it in the Holiday catalog.  I must admit when I first got this set, I wasn't very fond of it. It's not something you would find in my collection because it's not really me. However, once I started playing with it, I decided it had a lot of possibilities. Funny how that works out, isn't it? Don't tell me it hasn't happened to you at least once with a set.

This is a really pretty monochromatic card using baja breeze.  It's so soft looking. Hope you enjoy it. Remember from the other sets for convention, there will be 3 more cards, a gift item and a scrapbook page coming in the days ahead, except for Friday. Of course, that Fab Friday with Sisters in Stamping.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Affection Collection
Ink: Baja Breeze
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Modern Label punch, Snail Ahesive, & Floral DistrictDesigner Series Paper.
