Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today's post with the Sisters in Stamping  is a quick-and-easy Christmas card. Are you one of those people that haven't started your Christmas cards yet? Do you think you just won't have enough time to get them done? Well, then I have a card for you. This is a great quick-and-easy Christmas card. Seriously, it only takes a few minutes to put it all together. You can pop out a bunch of these cards in no time at all.

Two stamps, one punch, one ribbon, three colors of cardstock, one designer paper, and two ink pads. Not even a ton of materials needed. You could easily cut all of the cardstock and paper and do the punching in one sitting and then the next sitting do the stamping and assembling. And ta-da your cards are done. That is if you are making a lot of cards, if you are only making a few, you can do it all in one sitting.

I love the finished look of this card. It's simple and elegant at the same time. A little bit of country feel to it as well. So, don't think you are too late and can't make great-looking cards in time this year. You can.

If you want even more quick-and-easy cards to make, head over to Sisters in Stamping for more ideas.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon.

Stamper's Dozen Color Challenge Blog Hop

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's time for another blog post with the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop. Today we are doing a color challenge. I love these challenges because they make me stretch outside my comfort zone and put colors together that I normally wouldn't.

Today's color challenge is Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Silver Foil. I cheated a bit and used Silver glimmer paper. Afterall, the glimmer is made from foil, right? That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Don't even bother trying to tell me otherwise.

It really is such a pretty combination for so many occasions. I hardly ever make get well cards so I decided to use the healing hugs set and make a nice get well card. Hope I don't need to send it to anyone. I don't want anyone sick.

This is a super easy card that looks way more impressive than it is in regards to the amount of work it takes to make it. It's all about the layering. The more layers (or look of layers that you get with the Bokeh dots stamp) the better. A lot of times when I don't like the way a card looks, I'll add one layer and boom it comes together perfectly. One layer is sometimes all it needs to look well put together and finished.

This was easy to stamp, just three little stamps were used. The bokeh dot is stamped in petal pink, the flowers and greeting are stamped in Merry Merlot. The lighter flower was just the stamped off version of the darker flower. I stamped first and then stamped again without reinking.

I realized I had a slight problem on my hands when I couldn't use a green color for the leaves. But then suddenly, it came to me. The leaves would look gorgeous in silver and I immediately went for the leaves punch and got busy.

I love how this finished card looks. It's so pretty in real life.

Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon.

The Countdown is On

Remember to Create!

I'm so excited for the class I'm holding on Saturday. You need to set some time aside for yourself and come to class to make this adorable little advent calendar. It is a countdown to Christmas that you can use year after year and make your favorite little people so happy each of the 24 days prior to Christmas morning. They are made using a muffin tin so you fill each cup with a little treat or a coupon to do a fun Christmas activity (i.e. drive to look at lights, read a Christmas book, sing Christmas songs or any fun activity you can think of).

These ladies made their calendars a few weeks ago and were thrilled with how they turned out. They even want more to give to some more of their favorite little elves that love Christmas.

The calendar can be made vertical or horizontal depending on your own personal preference. The choice is yours, and, honestly, they look great either way.

Reserve your spot today by emailing me.

Class is at 11:00 AM
Cost: $30  (includes everything except adhesive)
Reserve by Thursday, November 15, 2018

Can't attend in person, let me know that you would like the class to go.
