Have You Used Stampin' Blends?

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's time for Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing projects made using Stampin' Blends. If you haven't tried these awesome markers yet, what are you waiting for? They are fantastic.

I decided to use the fun girlfriends set from the January - June 2021 mini catalog. Those girls are darling and so much fun to create with. The set is called Hey, Girlfriend. Such a fun name for it, too.

I stamped the girl on basic white cardstock, then I stamped her again on the yellow polka dot (you know, my favorite polka dots) designer series paper from the Flower and Field Sale-a-bration pack. Once that was stamped, I carefully cut out just the dress and attached it to the cut out white cardstock girl. I also stamped the heart and cut it out from Petal Pink cardstock for her to hold.  I completed the look using the Stampin' Blends to color the rest of her in. I even went over the  lines in the dress to make them a little more dramatic-looking.

Honestly, I think the layering makes this card so much better. A little layer here, and a little layer there completes the finished look, don't you think?  It's so easy to create great color combos when you use a pack of designer paper as your guide. You know that each combo you pick from the pack will work together perfectly. No guesswork necessary.

If you haven't already placed your Sale-a-bration order, there is just one month left. Thank you to everyone that has placed an order this month. Don't let the freebies pass you by.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping for more ideas using Stampin' Blends.

Thanks for stopping by.

Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to Share it Sunday blog hop. Mom always taught me that it was nice to share, so I'll heed her advice and share with you a stamping project.  Remember to keep scrolling for links to other blogs on the hop so you can see even more great projects to be inspired by.

I must be honest, when I received the Enjoy the Moment stamp set for OnStage in November, I was less than thrilled and though to myself that this just wasn't my thing. However, a team member and I challenged each other to create with the set and I am happy with my results. Sometimes you just need a good challenge to get you out of your comfort zone, even with stamping.

The Enjoy the Moment stamp set is full of seeds. Don't ask me the names of all of the them. I'm not that good with horticulture-type stuff. For this card, I decided to make a monochromatic card (one color) and I love how it turned out. Yep, I surprised even myself.

You can easily recreate this card in any color with minimal supplies which makes it a great card if you are just starting out or if you simply don't have a ton of time to create, but you want to be creative. One color of cardstock, white cardstock, coordinating designer series paper, one ink pad, and a stamp set. That's it.   You don't always need super labor-intensive, packed with product cards to have a beautiful card. I'm realizing that more as I go on lately. It only took me 20 years. I love the labor-intensive, packed with product cards, but sometimes they just aren't feasible, so instead of not stamping at all, you can make gorgeous simple cards to keep stamping. Need to keep the creative juices flowing.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to keep scrolling and click the links below to keep hopping.  We have one more month left of Sale-a-bration, so order early and order often.

Hopping with the Stampers Dozen Sale-a-bration Style

Hello Stamping Friends,

So happy to be here tonight sharing with you a few things from the Sale-a-bration campaign currently going on. You know - the best time of the year - FREE STUFF for everyone.

Tonight is the monthly blog hop with the Stampers Dozen bloggers so don't forget to scroll down to keep hopping and getting more inspiration from other great stampers.

I wanted to use the Corner Bouquet and the Heal Your Heart Sale-a-bration stamp sets. I must say, I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I wanted to use them. Pure determination. After the card was completed, I was very pleased with my end result. Love when that happens.

I also used the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper for the background which I think seriously added to what I was going for. The Heal Your Heart stamp set is great because it has both outside and inside greetings. I love sets that do that. So the "thank you" stamp pairs up great with the "I don't know what I would do without you" stamp.

Sneak Peek for the Mini Catalog Debuting on Tuesday

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm excited to be sharing with you tonight along with the Sisters in Stamping. We have been blogging together for years now. Actually, Debbie Naylor is the reason I started blogging in the first place. We became friends at one of Stampin' Up!'s conventions many years ago and she encouraged me to begin blogging. As you know, we did Fabulous Friday posts all of these year. For 2021, we decided to shake things up and give ourselves a refresh. We will now be posting Sunday Fun Days. I'm so excited and looking forward to continue sharing with you on our new day. Thanks for supporting us each week for years.

Isn't that a fun graphic for our new day. To me it screams fun. Confetti always means good times and party. We think you will agree. Thanks Debbie for making this great graphic for us.

Today's Fun Day is a sneak peek into the new Mini Catalog that begins on Tuesday. I sent out catalogs to many of you. With the current state of the post office I know many have not received your personal copy yet. I always send myself one just so I know when many of you would have them in your mailboxes and I haven't received my copy yet either. Let me know and I can get one to you.

I love this card. It is a pretty card and it isn't too difficult to make multiples of. Of course, my birthday is this week so how appropriate for me to make a birthday card using two of my favorite colors: pink and green.

I used the Pretty Perennials Stamp set for the flowers and the greetings. It's a great set to make many different types of cards. I also used the birch background stamp to add some "texture" to my background. The little piece of ribbon on the corner is the perfect little accessory to finish off this birthday card.

Don't forget the new mini catalog goes live on Tuesday, as well as the Sale-a-bration catalog. Sale-a-bration this year will be two months early in the year and then another two months in July and August. I'm so excited about this change and know you will love it too. Remember, Sale-a-bration is a great time for all to get something for FREE. With just a $50 order (before shipping and tax) you get to select something from the SAB catalog for FREE.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for even more sneak peeks for the mini catalog.
