Gotta Love New Colors!

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping.  I love the challenges of creating that are picked each week. Some are easy peasy and others make you stretch your creativity a little. This week was one of the easy peasy challenges. We need to create something using a new or returning color. Well, that's easy since there's so many great colors that are new or returning.

I made this card in each of the new/returning colors. They are all shown in groups below. Check out how different this card looks with only the color changed. So neat. Of course, I NEEDED to have the Little Elephant Stamp set right away out of the new catalog. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE elephants. Notice my new logo??? It's an elephant that my oldest son made for me.  The above card uses the great returning color coastal cabana.

Can you name these colors?

Okay, how about these colors?

These?????

And these??????

And finally, these????

That's okay I'll tell you. I won't keep you guessing.

From top left to bottom right:

Picture one: Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Gray Granite & Blackberry Bliss
Picture two: Granny Apple Green, Pineapple Punch, Merry Merlot & Mint Melody
Picture three: Call Me Clover, Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam
Picture four: Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove & Poppy Parade
Picture five: Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather

Aren't they awesome???

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more great ideas using the new and returning colors.  Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas in July Blog Hop

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Have you been enjoying the warm summer days? I know we had some crazy record breaking hot temps last week. Sure glad that's over. I'm not a fan of trying to break records (either cold or hot), let's just keep the temps comfortable Mother nature, please.  Well, just in case you are still hot we are bringing some cool thoughts your way with Christmas in July today on the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop. Be sure to scroll down to see even more great Christmas ideas shared by other great stamper friends of mine.

This may not be a new idea to everyone but I've never tried it and have been wanting to make a cookie sheet card since I saw this set. I love the way it turned out and it was super simple to make. This is a fantastic card to make a lot of because it will be done in a snap. Seriously, it only took me 20 minutes from start to finish. That's starting with gathering all my supplies and finishing with taking the pictures for me blog. Not bad since I was playing with sizes to get them just right. Isn't it adorable?

One gingerbread can easily be turned from a "boy" to a "girl" by changing the bow and the placement of the bow. They look so happy together. With the Designer series paper on sale this month, you can get a great headstart on those Christmas cards.

Thanks for hopping by. Don't forget to keep hopping.

A Little Pinspiration for You Today

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July with your friends and family. See any fantastic fireworks displays? I have been to two so far and planning on another one tomorrow evening. I have to say I'm deciding that I'm not a huge fan of the loud bangs. The bright light is pretty but the sound is too much for me. I don't like loud things.

It is Friday which means a post with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are using Pinterest to be pinspired to make a project. I saw this picture and was inspired to make the card below. Can you see how it inspired the card?

Here is the Pinterest picture that inspired this card.

I made a z-fold card. They are so easy to make and a little more fun and interactive than just a regular folded card. Makes it more fun to receive. You just start with  a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock. Fold it in half (which will be a regular card if you stop here), and then fold the front part back to the crease. Told you it was easy.

I colored the back side of the vellum with the Stampin' Blends markers. It's a great stained glass look. I also stamped the medallion stamp from the Painted Glass set in bermuda bay on the white cardstock to bring it all together. I added a rhinestone to the center of the medallion for some added bling.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more pinspiration ideas.
