Fun Fold Cards with Sisters in Stamping

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another great week with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing great fun fold cards with you. Handmade cards are always a great surprise to receive, but when there's a fun fold involved it is even better.

I know, I know. My card looks rather simple and regular. But are you sure? You'll have to keep scrolling to see just what is "fun" about my card.

I used a lot of layers on the rather simple front because I still wanted it to look great, but I wanted the fun part to be even better than the front of the card.

Here it is. The fun fold part. I added a piece to the inside of the card to make it pop up when it opens. It give the recipient a little fun vase of flowers completely unexpectedly. Imagine the surprise and delight.

Here's another angle. Fun, isn't it? To make the pop up part I just cut a piece of cardstock 2 1/8" x 4 1/4" and scored it at 1", 2", 3", and 4". Then the 1/4" piece left over is what closes the vase. I then added adhesive to two sides in order to have it attach to the inside of the card.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more great fun fold ideas.

Also, March classes have been released. Check them out HERE.

And remember, Sale-a-bration ends in just 3 days.  Don't let the sale of the year pass you by.

Sale-a-bration With Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Let's Sale-a-brate with the Stampers Dozen blog hop. You still have just over 2 weeks to get all the FREEBIES you want with every qualifying order. There are so many great items and there's even a few more added that are not in the brochure. You need to check it out and contact me today to get that order in before you miss out on Sale-a-bration.

I love the Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper that is just one of the many great options available. You can create such pretty cards with minimal effort.  Let the paper background do the work for you like I did here.

I paired it with the nest of eggs from the Everyday Details stamp set. With the way the paper looks like branches and birds perched on them, the nest full of colorful eggs appears to fit right in with everything else.

I watercolored the eggs using the same colors in the paper. Such a quick card to put together, but the recipient will treasure it for a long time knowing you are happy for her.

Don't forget to keep hopping to see even more great projects using Sale-a-bration FREEBIES. Also, get those orders in to me soon in order to get the items you want to add to your collection.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Hearts, Hearts, Hearts

Hello Stamping Friend,

It's that time of year when we are all about the hearts. And this week with Sisters in Stamping we are following the pattern of hearts, hearts, and more hearts.

I made a card using hearts in a different way. You know, not the traditional love card.

When I saw this set (well, the telephone) I just had to have it. It was screaming my name. The name of the set, Let's Chat, is perfect too. Who doesn't love chatting to catch up with friends? Perhaps we should leave the smart phones behind and head back to a simpler time in life when we had to sit near the phone because the cord wasn't too long and focus on the person on the other end.

This is a rather simple card without too much fuss, but it turned out perfectly. The hearts are just a great little touch to finish off the card. I also love the added gems for the phone buttons. Gives a little shine and shimmer.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more heartfelt projects.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Bundles, Bundles, Bundles

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time for another round of Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing some great projects using bundles found in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog.

I used the Ice Cream Swirl bundle for my card. Of course, you may be asking where's the ice cream? Well, I decided to use the bundle in an "out-of-the-box" way.  Who would have thought you can get a basket of strawberries instead?

I used the straw-like stamp of the ice cream set to make the layers of my basket after I die cut the cones paper covering to use as the basket. I used the subtles color family 6x6 designer series paper for my color palette inspiration and then used the paper for the background on my card.

This card is a sure way to let someone know just how thankful you are for them.

Be sure to visit the Sisters in Stamping for more ideas using the spring bundles.

Thanks for stopping by. See you real soon.

Fresh Fancy Florals

Hello Stamping Friends,

Here it is: another Sunday Fun Day with Sisters in Stamping. This week we are focusing on some fresh, fancy florals. Here in northeastern Pennsylvania we are in the middle of the winter doldrums and fresh flowers are certainly a welcome distraction from the white snow on the ground.

I chose to use the Everyday Details stamp set to make this country looking card.  Honestly this card reminds me of a time gone by.  It reminds me of my mom and her love of tea and flowers.

I used the Inked Botanicals 6x6 Designer Series Paper for this card. The simple teacup with a single flower is enhanced by the extra layers of cardstock and designer series paper.  I also love the combination of square and round layers to add interest.

For even more floral ideas, head on over to Sisters in Stamping.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.
