Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

Time for another Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. This week is for all those last minute card makers (whether you are just starting to make them or you just need a few more).

I went with a super simple and ridiculously easy, yet still well put-together beautiful card. How? Well, it was easy, I used the Memories and More card pack to create my card. The only thing I need was my base and a white layer outside of the pack.

The card packs are wonderful for anyone that is short on time or everyone that says, "I'm not creative." They seriously do all the work for you. I used one of the 4"x6" cards cut down to 3 3/4" by 5" and then cut one of the window sheets printed with a greeting the same size to layer directly over the card with the trees. I also used one of the scalloped strips from the self-adhesive die cuts to add a little something extra.

This whole card took about five minutes to make. How is that for quick and easy?

Something New for the New Year - Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Are you all loving the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season? I absolutely love it and wish I had more time to  enjoy all there is that is available. My sister and I have been traveling to see Christmas light displays all over the past few weeks. We have a list that we still want to see, but I know we will have to save a few for next year. We were going to go tonight, but I grounded myself from fun so that I could wrap some gifts. Just be sure, I'd rather look at lights.

Tonight with the Stampers Dozen Blog hop we are sharing something new for the new year with you. January is the magic month of a brand new mini catalog. I have to tell you, I love it. There are so many great new stamps, accessories, and papers. It's not easy to pick my favorite that's for sure. If you would like a copy of the mini catalog, please let me know and I'll get one out to you.

I decided to use the ballet set first from my preorder (demonstrators get to preorder from the mini catalog one month before it launches to everyone else). Why did I choose this? Well, as many know my daughter has been a dancer since she was very young. She's not so young anymore (sorry, Britt, but it's true), but she is now a dance teacher.  This coming weekend the studio is doing a Nutcracker recital and she asked me to be the narrator. Once a dance mom, always a dance mom. I certainly thought my dance mom days were over. LOL

I made these cards for my daughter and the owner of the studio. I'll write a little note to each one and give them to them after the recital.

Did you notice a difference between the two?  One has ribbon and the other doesn't. I'm not sure which one I like better. What are your thoughts?

I also stamped the inside of the cards, but left room for me to write in as well. I like the look of stamping the little greeting over the ballerina in the lower left-hand corner. I've never done that before, but I will be doing it again.

Don't forget to keep hopping. You'll love the ideas.
