Tags, Tags, and More Tags

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's that busy time of year. I hope you are taking a few minutes to relax and take it all in. Remember to enjoy the little moments because they will pass by in a flash.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping on Sunday Fun day we are sharing tag ideas with you. If you have Christmas presents to give, you need tags to attach.

This bundle from the Holiday mini catalog is just perfect to make those tags you need. The stockings, hats, gifts, and gingerbread men are the perfect accents to any present you will be presenting.

The white layer is stamped using the background stamp to add that plaid look. Then I  punched some circles before attaching the images to the tag. You know I love multi-layer projects and this one is no different.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Thankful Hearts Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Seriously have to ask: Where is time going? I simply can't believe it is the middle of November already. I must be having some serious fun with time flying so fast.  But since it is November 14th, I'll pause to share a thankful heart card with you so you can hop through and see some other great projects.

I decided to use the saying from the Autumn leaves stamp set because I like the grateful heart part of the saying. We should all have more grateful hearts.

I also used the wing (aka heart) from the Bee My Valentine set that will be in the upcoming January mini catalog. It is such a cute set. I can see using the bee in a lot of different cards for so many different occasions.

I also used the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, which is where I picked my color combo from: Pretty Peacock and Bubble Bath.  This card also is a quick fun fold idea. You don't even need to score if you don't want to. Just fold the card in half like you would for a regular card and then fold the front back to the middle crease. Easy peasy!

You can see the fold a lot clearer in the above photo. I added the hearts using dimensionals. The lighter peacock heart was stamped right after the dark peacock heart without reinking so I could get "2 colors" from one pad.

Don't forget that the Seasonal Sale happening now until Thursday, November 16, 2023. Place your order online by clicking on my name below or contact me directly.

Using Up Those Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Sunday. You know what that means: Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping.

Do you ever get overwhelmed with all those scraps sitting around? Today, we're going to help you by giving you some ideas on how to create beautiful cards using those scraps.

I hate throwing away scraps of pretty designer series paper. This card design definitely helps use up a good amount of scraps while making a great card. I used any 1" strips of paper for this card. As you can see, some spots don't have much more than an inch in length used, so a little can go a long way.

Designing a card like this is very easy because all of Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper coordinates leaving you to do a little work with just finding a small image and greeting to add.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more scrappy inspiration.

See you soon,

Halloween Blog Hop - Crafty Colaborations

Hello Stamping Friends,

Halloween is certainly upon us and will be here rather quickly. Today we are hopping through some great Halloween creations and you surely won't want to miss out on these ideas.

I did some thinking outside the box since I really don't have any current Halloween sets. I used the Year to Celebrate stamp set and Halloween colors to make my card.

Party horns can be used for any type of party, right?  Gorgeous grape, pumpkin pie, and lemon lime twist are great Halloween colors and the stripes and polka dots just add to the festive atmosphere. I just hope these horns don't make noise. LOL

What really makes this card is the layers. By now, you know I love adding layers to my cards. I believe the extra layers just bring the card together and gives a nice, completed
look to your end result.

Stampers Dozen Fun Fold Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Don't you just love blog hops? You can garner so much inspiration in just a few clicks. I'm back today with another great blog hop with the Stampers Dozen. This month's theme is Fun Fold Cards. Now that is exciting, if you ask me.

Fun fold cards are fun to make, fun to give, and even more fun to receive.  Sometimes crafters find them difficult to make and overwhelming to conquer, but this card is actually pretty easy to make. It's called a double z-fold card.

And I love letting my designer series paper do the majority of the work. Isn't this a great color combo, too? My two favorite colors, pink and green. The black just makes those two colors pop even more.

Another thing that has my name all over it is the typewriter. I sure wish I kept mine from my high school/college days. I saw one about a year ago in a shop and couldn't believe the price they were asking for this great memory from days gone by.

This card is seriously fun to make. Once it was done, I set it up and just admired it. Do you ever admire your creations?

Remember to keep hopping by clicking the links below. Place your order for the products used here by clicking on my name at the end. Have questions? Let me know and I can help you out.

Don't forget the awesome special to join the Stampin' Up! family. You have two options to choose from: 35% off the price of the kit or 35% more product for $99. Which offer suits you better? Offer valid through October 31, 2023.

Fun Fall Color Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends,

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we were faced with a color challenge. I will say, I don't often use these colors on their own, nevermind, using these colors together. However, after working with them, I love how well they work together. Perfect for a fall or masculine card

Look at how awesome they are together! I love when others challenge me to go out of my comfort zone and create something I would have never done on my own.

I love this rooster set, Hey, Chuck. They are silly, sassy roosters that just beg to be used to create some great cards. I love that the set also has a skateboard. My oldest son has been a skateboarder for years. I decided this would be a good card for him because he definitely has something to crow about. (Keep scrolling)

What's better than a skateboarding rooster? Well, a skateboarding rooster on a fence top, of course. The multiple layers on this card add so much to it. I also colored the rooster with blender pens and ink pads.

Want to hear what my oldest son has to crow about? Well, here it is.................... ..................................................................................................................

After celebrating one year of marriage, they have even more to celebrate. They are expecting their first baby. I get to be a Nini for a second time. Everyone in our family is very excited for them and to have a new little one added to the crew.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more inspiration using this color combination.

Sunday Fun Day - Fall Theme

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today at Sisters in Stamping we are sharing some fun fall cards with you.  Are you all ready for fall colors, leaves falling, pumpkin everything, hayrides, and whatever else says fall?

Once again, I decided to let the paper do all the "speaking" for me. This paper is absolutely gorgeous and needs little else to accompany it to make great cards.

I layered the paper on early espresso cardstock while my base is very vanilla. I then added a small strip of the gold side of the paper and a little die cut leaf also from the same pack of paper. I stamped the greeting from the coordinating stamp set on vellum and then die cut it out. (Remember to let the ink dry for a bit before trying to cut or else it will smear and we don't want that.)

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more fall ideas.

Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon for more inspiration.

Color Challenge - Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are fine on this Monday morning. We're here with another crafty challenge blog hop. Remember to click the links at the end of the post to keep hopping for more great projects.

Today's challenge is a color challenge using basic black, early espresso, cherry cobbler and gold foil. I must admit, I was a bit stumped on how to use these colors together because I never put black together with brown and found it difficult to create something with it. But, alas, I was able to get creative as you can see below.

I decided on the gold foil designer series paper to start with. Then I wanted to use the Christmas saying from Night Divine as my focal point. I added just a bit of twine for another dimension.

It's hard to see in the picture, but here are the colors of the layers. The base is cherry cobbler. The second layer under the foiled designer series paper is basic black. The focal point layers are cherry cobbler, early espresso and very vanilla. The greeting is  stamped in cherry cobbler.

This is a perfect card to make multiples of especially if you don't have a lot of time because it's pretty quick and easy.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Fun Folds with the Sisters in Stamping

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today over at Sisters in Stamping for Sunday Fun Day we are sharing fun fold cards. Homemade cards are great by themselves, but add a fun fold to the card and it takes it to a whole new level of greatness and appreciation by the receiver.

Sunday Fun Day and Fun folds only leaves us one option: FUN!

Upon first glance, this card just looks like any ordinary card. It's still nice, but you don't think fun fold, that's for sure!

Here you can see that it is more fun than first impressions gave. Not quite the traditional card after all.

Just a different angle so you can see it from the front and how it stands "open."

Laying flat with the left side open and the right side closed.

Completely open. To make this card, you start with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock and score it at 5 1/2" along the 11" side. Then cut the cardstock into 2 (4 1/4" x 11") pieces. I then cut on a diagonal from the top to bottom on one half of each (4 1/4" x 11") piece. Attach the two rectangular parts together to form one card base making sure one triangle is on the bottom on the left side and the other triangle is on the top on the right side. You'll get a pocket type card if you don't alternate them.

Decorate however you would like. I cut the layers like I was adding normal card layers for a rectangle card and then cut those in half on the diagonal. Tip: Just pay attention to how you are cutting the diagonal if you are set on which side of the designer paper you want to use. You may cut it the wrong way. Don't ask me how I know. (Wink, wink)
