Color Challenge - Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are fine on this Monday morning. We're here with another crafty challenge blog hop. Remember to click the links at the end of the post to keep hopping for more great projects.

Today's challenge is a color challenge using basic black, early espresso, cherry cobbler and gold foil. I must admit, I was a bit stumped on how to use these colors together because I never put black together with brown and found it difficult to create something with it. But, alas, I was able to get creative as you can see below.

I decided on the gold foil designer series paper to start with. Then I wanted to use the Christmas saying from Night Divine as my focal point. I added just a bit of twine for another dimension.

It's hard to see in the picture, but here are the colors of the layers. The base is cherry cobbler. The second layer under the foiled designer series paper is basic black. The focal point layers are cherry cobbler, early espresso and very vanilla. The greeting is  stamped in cherry cobbler.

This is a perfect card to make multiples of especially if you don't have a lot of time because it's pretty quick and easy.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

Time for another Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. This week is for all those last minute card makers (whether you are just starting to make them or you just need a few more).

I went with a super simple and ridiculously easy, yet still well put-together beautiful card. How? Well, it was easy, I used the Memories and More card pack to create my card. The only thing I need was my base and a white layer outside of the pack.

The card packs are wonderful for anyone that is short on time or everyone that says, "I'm not creative." They seriously do all the work for you. I used one of the 4"x6" cards cut down to 3 3/4" by 5" and then cut one of the window sheets printed with a greeting the same size to layer directly over the card with the trees. I also used one of the scalloped strips from the self-adhesive die cuts to add a little something extra.

This whole card took about five minutes to make. How is that for quick and easy?

Winter Holiday Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are doing well today. Don't forget that today is the final day of the Seasonal Sale. 10% off cardstock, 15% off ink pads, and 20% off dies found in the annual catalog. Great savings, but it you want an even better deal, join the Stampin' Up! family for just $75 and receive $125 worth of product (with  the sale, you can get even more than $125 in product). Hop on over to my website and click JOIN NOW.

Now onto some stamping inspiration. Today is a blog hop with crafty collaborations with a theme of winter holiday. I suppose living in NE PA, this is a perfect card to fit the bill. We have already had about an inch of snow just this week. I can tell you, "I'M NOT READY!"  (Yes, I'm screaming it. LOL)

Again, on this card, I'm letting my designer paper do the majority of the work for me. If you don't have a lot of time or feel that you don't have a lot of creativity then let the designer paper help you out. Creating with it is so easy.

I also went with non-traditional holiday colors for this card. Black and white with a little pink is so pretty. Then the sparkle from the designer paper is the perfect touch. I also punched the end of the greeting strip to give it a different look. Better than just a plain straight edge.

The die cut snowflakes in the mini catalog are so pretty and perfect if you want to add some dimension and texture to your card without too much effort when you are running short on time.  I added a basic rhinestone to the center of the snowflake to add just a touch more of sparkle.

I also finished the edge off with some black and white gingham ribbon. I love gingham ribbon. I want it in every color.

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Christmas Creations

Hello Stamping Friends,

Excited to be back with you again this week. Tonight is a blog hop with the Stampers Dozen and we are sharing some great Christmas ideas with all of you. Don't forget to keep hopping by clicking the links at the end of this post. You won't want to miss all of the awesome inspiration from some talented ladies.

I have a serious weakness for anything snowmen and this adorable snowman set was a no-brainer for me to order. Isn't it the sweetest stamp. Just look at those snowmen all cheerful with their wrapped snowball presents.

I used  non-traditional colors for my card. Although, if you want me to I can stretch it and say I used shades of red and green. LOL  I love the softness this card gives. It would even be a good card to send in January, February, or maybe even March in some areas.

The metallic snippets on the designer paper is just the perfect finishing touch. A little sparkle can go a long way. The snowmen were colored with Stampin' Blends.

Another different little touch was punching the edges of the strip that I usually leave straight on a design like this, but I love the decorative edges and will be doing this more often, for sure!

Remember to keep hopping for more great inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Christmas in July

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time to watch some great Hallmark Christmas movies while browsing this great blog hop. I'm in, for sure. It's never too early to watch Christmas movies if you ask me. So sit back and enjoy the show and the hop.

I received a card with this layout and loved it. It wasn't a Christmas card, but I immediately thought this would be a great card to make multiples of for the holidays. The only thing I stamped was the greeting. Everything else is paper. How cool is that? Well, I think it's pretty awesome since the holidays are always so busy and I end up short on time every year.

I used the Tidings of Christmas 6x6 paper for my card and the tree that is punched out. Hey, little secret, that paper is on sale this month. 15% off, get it now and get a jump start on those Christmas cards.

I obviously picked the colors of the card based on the paper. There is another thing I switched up from the card I received. The red banner was just a straight strip across the center. I decided to make it a tad longer and cut the edges into a banner so add another dimension to the finished card.

Then for the inside, I carried my outside lines of designer paper in. It just adds a nice little touch to bring your outside inside. You can even step it up a bit and decorate the flap of your envelope with the designer paper, especially since it's 15% off this month.
