A Stripe Sunday Fun Day

Hello Stamping Friends,

I shared with you earlier a card using the Hearts & Kisses stamp set and I have another one to share with you now for the Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. I really love this set.

Today's theme is stripes. That means I could have gone in a number of directions. I decided to make my stripes with white strips which then gave me some rococo rose stripes above and below the white giving the allusion of even more great stripes. If I can't have polka dots, I would definitely want some stripes.

I love the clean look of the white cardstock with just a little bit of color. The little leaves are all separate little pieces that I placed close to each other to make it look like a vine. Once I was finished I felt it needed just a little bit of something and that's when I "stitched" the edges of the white stripes using the dark rococo rose Stampin' Blend pen and it was exactly what I think the card needed.

Share it Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope this Sunday morning finds you full of joy and happiness. I am happy to be a part of the Share it Sunday Blog Hop.

As we close out the month of love, I thought I could share this awesome card with you. Honestly, the picture doesn't do it justice. In real life, it  is just an ahhhhh moment. The embossed foil paper is amazing. I loved the paper plain and decided to try to emboss it. Well, let me tell you, once I embossed it and took it out of the folder I was in awe.

I love the Hearts & Kisses stamp set. I mean, really, who doesn't love a good tube of lipstick? Okay, maybe some don't, but I definitely do.

So who can you give this card to? Well, of course, you can give it to your significant other. But, I also think you can give it to a friend that needs a little pick me up and to know they have someone in their side. You need to try embossing the foil paper if you haven't already. I promise you won't be sorry. It completely changes the entire look of your project.

Today is the day......the final day of Sale-a-bration. Be sure to get your order in today before you miss out and are sad that you can't get that FREEBIE any more.

Don't forget to keep hopping. Follow the links below.

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - Card Sketch

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm back. Are you loving me sharing so much with you lately? I am loving creating, posting, and sharing with you. I know wasn't the best for the past two years, but life was pulling me in different directions. I'm excited to be participating in this blog hop and love card sketches. The picture below is the sketch of the card we were to follow.

And below is my card. I think I accomplished the goal, what do you think?  I posted yesterday using the same set and designer paper. This card is a totally different look. You know what is really cool? I only used one stamp. I used the designer series paper for my images. The only thing stamped is the word sweet. That leaves this card open to give for just about any fun occasion.

I used the designer series paper to guide me in choosing colors for my cardstock. Once I selected pool party as the base I settled on soft sea foam for the inner oval (it's small and not showing a ton) and then so saffron for the outer oval. I love the look of the rainbow glimmer paper in such small strips. It packs such a punch that you really don't need to use at lot at once, making one 12"x12" sheet last a long time.

For the popsicles, I just cut them straight off the designer series paper. It's great artwork so don't be afraid to cut it and use it.

The blue gems are a carry-over item from the holiday catalog and I think they work perfectly with this card.

Don't forget to keep hopping. Click the links below to see more creations using the above card sketch.  Also, remember, I'm celebrating by 20th anniversary all week. Check out yesterday's post or the post on the 19th for more information.
