Sunday Fun Day Template Copy

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. Today we are sharing cards made using the templates in the Annual Catalog on page 22. If you have even been in a creative rut, you are going to love using these templates to get your creative juices flowing again. 

The template I selected is very easy to duplicate. It's even easier when you use some designer series paper and the ephemera packs. 

I stamped directly on the soft subtles designer series paper using Memento ink. I used stampin' blends to color the peony flower. I used the label ephemera pack and the greeting ephemera pack for the strips from the template. The greeting is attached using some dimensionals.

It truly was quick and easy and can literally be made in minutes. Now, if you want you can easily embellish this card with some gems or ribbon.

Quick and Easy Memories & More Card Pack

So excited to be here sharing again. I really want to make this a regular thing because I seriously miss all of you. I hope everyone is doing well and stamping when they can. I'm always here to help with any questions you have or stamping ideas you need. I hope to be stamping in person with you soon.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing cards made using the Memories & More Card Packs. These packs are made to make creating quick and easy whether you are making scrapbook pages to preserve your memories or need a card and don't have a lot of time to create. 

I used the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack from the 2020 Holiday catalog. The only thing I added to the card were the holiday rhinestones because I felt the tree just needed some ornaments. However, it would have been a beautiful card without them as well. I just wanted some bling. This girl loves her bling.

I used two cards from the pack. The gold foil layer is one of the 4" x 6" cards that I just cut to 5" x 3  3/4" and then the tree is one of the smaller 3" x 4" cards that I just layered onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The deer is a little self-adhesive die cut that also comes in the pack. All I needed to have on hand besides the pack was the cardstock in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce; plus some adhesive. See super simple but an impressive end result.

Back for another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. We are still celebrating our 10 year anniversary this week so don't forget to hop over and leave a comment for your chance for some Blog Candy. The theme this week was pretty fun. We scrolled through all of our past Sisters in Stamping blog posts to find the most popular one and needed to recreate it using current Stampin' Up! supplies. 

I'll admit, I was a bit anxious to open my most popular post in fear of what I was up against. I was waiting for it to be some crazy, detailed project that would take a lot of time. Imagine my surprise when I open it and found this delightful, simple but nice card waiting for me to recreate it. This project was from THIS POST back in June of 2016. It was even well received by all my workshop guests back then. They loved making this card.

Below you will see the recreated project. I decided to use the pens from the Crafting Forever stamp set for the image. Super simple, just repeatedly stamp the stamp image. I stamped once and then turned it upside down to stamp again and then turned it again to stamp it a third time. This was done twice to make two rows of pens. I layered the greeting on plain basic black cardstock this time instead of designer series paper because the image wasn't a bold as the previous card I made.

You can easily make a set of these with a few different sayings to make a gift for a friend.  The best part is that a set could be made literally in minutes, but the impact of the gift is far greater.

Quick and Easy Christmas Cards

Today's post with the Sisters in Stamping  is a quick-and-easy Christmas card. Are you one of those people that haven't started your Christmas cards yet? Do you think you just won't have enough time to get them done? Well, then I have a card for you. This is a great quick-and-easy Christmas card. Seriously, it only takes a few minutes to put it all together.You can pop out a bunch of these cards in no time at all.

Two stamps, one punch, one ribbon, three colors of cardstock, one designer paper, and two ink pads. Not even a ton of materials needed. You could easily cut all of the cardstock and paper and do the punching in one sitting and then the next sitting do the stamping and assembling. And ta-da your cards are done. That is if you are making a lot of cards, if you are only making a few, you can do it all in one sitting.

I love the finished look of this card. It's simple and elegant at the same time. A little bit of country feel to it as well. So, don't think you are too late and can't make great-looking cards in time this year. You can.

A Winter Thank You

Happy Friday to you. Friday the 13th. Ooooo, are you superstitious? I'm not. I don't see it as anything but another day of the month. No worries here.

This week with Sisters in Stamping we are sharing with you some great cards that the perfect winter thank you's. I'm sure many of you need some quick and easy thank you cards after the recent holiday season. Well, I have the perfect winter thank you that is definitely quick and easy but will be loved by anyone that receives it. Seriously, it is super easy.

It also uses a great set that I think everyone should have because they will love creating with it, Thoughtful Branches. There are so many awesome cards out there that have been created with this amazing set.

You begin with a clear D block. Take your marina mist marker and color the top half of the block with the brush tip. Then take your pear pizzazz marker and color the bottom half of the block with the brush tip. Fill your spritzer with some water (before you begin) and then lightly spritz the colored block. After spritzing you "stamp" the block onto the white cardstock creating a nice background for the bare tree from Thoughtful branches. 

I then stamped the "thankful for you" stamp besides the tree (between the block stamped image and the swish of grass under the tree). 

Easy, peasy, right? I told you, you'd have a quick and easy card that is loved by everyone.
