Christmas in July Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends,

I know it's been a super busy day here, but I hope you are loving all of the inspiration waiting for you. This is a blog hop with the Stampers' Dozen group. Theme this month is Christmas in July, of course.

I choose to keep it simple with my card. If you are anything like me, you have the best intentions to make some grand Christmas cards and send them out, but you run out of time, don't make your cards, or worse, make them without sending them. Well, this card will take some pressure off of you and leave you feeling accomplished. Plus, it's still a pretty card that your friends and family will love to receive.

I used the Merriest Trees stamp set to create this simple, yet elegant card. The two-step stamping gives depth to the tree very easily. Three quick stamps and your card is stamped. Four pieces of cardstock and some dimensionals give your a complete card that is super quick and easy to make. This allows you time to still make all of your Christmas cards while leaving you plenty of time to do all of the other great holiday activities and events that you have on your list.

I used shaded spruce and shy shamrock ink for this card. The cardstock is thick whisper white, regular whisper white, and shaded spruce. Minimal supplies makes this even better.

What do you think? Can you make 50 of these in minimal time? Don't you think people will love receiving it?

Don't forget to keep hopping. You're sure to love the other Christmas in July inspiration.

Also, we are almost halfway through July and that means we are halfway through the Bonus Days promotion. For every $50 in orders now through July 31, you will receive a $5 Bonus coupon to use in August.

Sunday Fun Day Template Copy

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping. Today we are sharing cards made using the templates in the Annual Catalog on page 22. If you have even been in a creative rut, you are going to love using these templates to get your creative juices flowing again.

The template I selected is very easy to duplicate. It's even easier when you use some designer series paper and the ephemera packs.

I stamped directly on the soft subtles designer series paper using Memento ink. I used stampin' blends to color the peony flower. I used the label ephemera pack and the greeting ephemera pack for the strips from the template. The greeting is attached using some dimensionals.

It truly was quick and easy and can literally be made in minutes. Now, if you want you can easily embellish this card with some gems or ribbon.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see some other templates from page 22 in use.

Bonus days is in full swing, so place your order of $50 to receive a $5 Bonus coupon to use in August.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Crafty Dreams Blog Hop - Autumn Vibes

Hello Stamping Friends,

This morning we are hopping with Crafty Collaborations and we are getting the autumn vibes in high gear.

I made a card using the All About Autumn 6x6 Specialty Designer Series Paper. The paper is doing most of the work for me. I didn't have to stamp a background or do too much. Honestly the only stamping is the greeting from the All About Autumn stamp set. I used the backside of the paper for the "banner ribbon." It is gorgeous. The paper has copper foil on one side of every sheet. It is beautiful and hard to decide which side you want to use. So instead of deciding, I used both.

I also cut some leaves from the Autumn Leaves Dies both from the paper and cardstock. The cardstock leaves I used blending brushes and coordinating ink from stamp pads to make them look a little more realistic.

In the die set there are a few dies that just cut into the paper (doesn't cut anything out to use elsewhere). I used the long strip of dots to add a little texture to the designer paper just under the banner.

The greeting was stamped on vellum and I attached the vellum using glue dots strategically placed under the leaves.

Sisters in Stamping Anniversary and Color Challenge

Hello Stamping Friends,

So excited for this week's post with the Sisters in Stamping. We have been blogging together for 12 years. It surely doesn't seem that long. I remember meeting Debbie and Karla at convention and Debbie suggested we start a blog together since we live in different areas of the country. I was hesitant because I didn't even have a blog at that point. Guess it's my personal 12 year anniversary too. Maybe I'll have a surprise later this week to celebrate.

We are celebrating over on the Sisters in Stamping blog, so be sure to visit there to see the great blog candy that is waiting for you over there. All you need to do is leave a comment on the Sisters in Stamping blog to have your name entered.

This week we have a color challenge for you. We are using the colors below to create our cards. This is a great color combo that can be used for so many different types of projects.

I used the forever fern stamp set to make a card that can be used for an anniversary, a wedding, or even to celebrate a special, long-term friendship.  I stamped the images around the edges of the whisper white cardstock. Overlapping them to make a collage look. Then stamped the greeting on a strip of whisper white and layered it on just jade and night of navy. I added two little bumblebee leaves in two corners so the greeting looked more complete.

And of course, don't forget to stamp the inside to make it a little more fun to open. It's fun to bring the outside of the card to the inside a bit.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see the other color challenge projects and to see how you can possible win some blog candy.

A Day of Gratitude

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Can you believe it's Friday again? Time is just flying by, but then again it always does this time of year. With the holidays fast approaching and travel soccer tournament season in full swing the days may seem long, but the weeks are certainly shorter than I need them to be.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing gratitude/thank you cards with you. The theme is obviously appropriate since Thanksgiving is next week, but we honestly should be thankful every day of the year and not just at this time, don't you think? I try to be, but I know I fall short sometimes.

For this card I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and the coordinating designer series paper, Magnolia Lane to great this simple but great looking card. I only used stamps, ink and paper on this one and it looks like a million bucks. Sometimes, you just don't need to have a ton of accessories to have your card look like it's "put together."

Don't forget today is the FINAL DAY for the Online Extravaganza. All details are below.

You'll definitely want to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more great gratitude/thank you cards.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.
