Fabulous Embossing Folders

Hello Stamping Friends,

I hope you had a great week and have some free time to do something you enjoy this weekend. It's a bit brisk here in NEPA today. You know it's cold when your sixteen year old son looks for gloves and hat while he has pants and a jacket on before going to an 8:00 AM soccer practice. Usually, it's mom fighting him to put pants on instead of his shorts.

This week with Sisters in Stamping we are sharing some cards using embossing folders. I have said it before and I'll say it again (and probably again in the future), cards look so much more finished and complete when you use an embossing folder on the background. They are such a quick and easy way to make the card pop.

For my card this week, I decided to make the embossing just as much as the focal point. I absolutely love how this turned out. I was going for a bit of a fall look, but I wanted to use colors from the Bright collection. I'm a colorful person (anyone who knows me, knows I love color) and wasn't ready to use the Regal collection for fall. I used three different sets of embossing folders for this card. The black cardstock brings it all together and makes it totally pop. Did I say how much I love this card?

Here's a close up so you can see the detail a little better. I love the saying. I have been saying something similar since March. I even bought my sister and myself a t-shirt that says faith not fear. I haven't lived in fear for the past six months and that has been a huge help in making it through this difficult year. Faith conquers all.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see a few more cards using embossing folders. Be inspired. Go create!

See you soon.

Autumn Days are Near

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time for another great blog hop with the Stampers Dozen group. This month we are sharing ideas for those autumn days that are near. I enjoy this upcoming season with the changing leaves, pumpkins, gourds, hayrides, and warm, apple cider donuts from the local farm, but I dread it because I know the long winter will soon follow. Anyone else feel that way? If only winter lasted about a month or two, perhaps then I would be happy.

I decided to stick to a nice warm drink for a fall day. Nothing says autumn like holding a warm drink while enjoying the brisk outdoors to me. So using the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper and the Press On Stamp Set was the perfect combination for this card.

The Gilded Autumn Paper is beautiful metallic paper for all your fall projects but if you turn it over the other side doesn't have any metallic and that's what I decided I needed for a cup of Joe, hot chocolate, or warm apple cider. You get to decide what it inside.

There are some other great projects on this month's hop that you do not want to miss. Click on the links below to keep hopping.

Time to Say Thank You

Hello Stamping Friends,

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing thank you cards. We all have so much to be thankful for to others around us, especially first responders during the past few months. So much is going on in the world and they constantly put their lives on the line to protect ours. I don't have any particular stamps that I thought would be geared to just first responders, but I think they would even appreciate this simple card with just a mere thank you on it. So, next time you are out and about take a thank you card with you and pass it along to any first responder you encounter on your travels. I bet you will make their day with this unexpected kind gesture.

I used the 2020-2022 In-Colors 6"x6" designer series paper for my card. The one and only stamp I used on this card says it all.

This card is so super, quick and easy to make you can make a stack of them to keep with you to pass out. I added the greeting to the card using dimensionals. The rest is attached paper to paper. I really love how this turned out. It took me about ten minutes to make. Now that is quick.

Just think if you change the designer series paper, you can have a totally different looking card that is just as easy to make.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more thank you card ideas.

Also, don't forget the awesome deal happening right now. The best value from Stampin' Up! $99 for over $225 in product. Ask me how to get this today.

The New Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine is Here!

Hello Stamping Friends,

The moment you have all been waiting for since our beloved Big Shot was retired is finally here. Say hello to our new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I'm so excited. I was able to preorder mine last month and I just love it. My absolute favorite part is that the ends fold up to make it more compact to move from place to place.

Creating die cuts and embossed designs is easy, thanks to Stampin’ Cut & Emboss! Our die cutting and embossing products do the work so you can have the fun.

Our Stampin’ Cut & Emboss and Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machines offer multiple die cutting and embossing options for you. Both of our Stampin’ Up!-exclusive machines offer the highest quality and make precise cuts and detailed embossed images every time. They’re also simple to store and easily portable, which makes storing a cinch! They come with all the tools needed to get started right away, making it easy for you to have a fantastic die-cutting and embossing experience from the start.

So what sets our machines apart from the rest? Here are some of our favorite features:

  • Durable machines with high-quality results. The solid steel construction frame and rubber feet that securely grip the work surface produce crisp, clean, precise cutting and beautifully detailed embossing.
  • Easy to use. The machines and tools are designed for an intuitive die-cutting and embossing experience. For example, all plates are labeled with a number and are color coded for easy reference and use when building your sandwich. And just like the name suggests, our Magnetic Cutting Plates have fully-magnetic surfaces to make it easy to securely position your dies and keep them in place.
  • Simple to store. The platforms on both machines fold for space-saving storage and they look pretty too–the sleek, clean design suits any crafting space.
  • Portable. You can use both machines at home or on the go with their folding platforms and ergonomic carrying handles. It’s so convenient if you like to attend crops or other crafting get togethers.

At this time the mini machine is still in production but it will be here soon. You can order the larger machine that is 6" wide now. Click on the picture below to order yours today. It will take you right to my website. If you have any other questions, please ask me. I'd love to help with any questions or concerns you have.

Quick and Easy Memories & More Card Pack

Hello Stamping Friends,

So excited to be here sharing again. I really want to make this a regular thing because I seriously miss all of you. I hope everyone is doing well and stamping when they can. I'm always here to help with any questions you have or stamping ideas you need. I hope to be stamping in person with you soon.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing cards made using the Memories & More Card Packs. These packs are made to make creating quick and easy whether you are making scrapbook pages to preserve your memories or need a card and don't have a lot of time to create.

I used the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack from the 2020 Holiday catalog. The only thing I added to the card were the holiday rhinestones because I felt the tree just needed some ornaments. However, it would have been a beautiful card without them as well. I just wanted some bling. This girl loves her bling.

I used two cards from the pack. The gold foil layer is one of the 4" x 6" cards that I just cut to 5" x 3  3/4" and then the tree is one of the smaller 3" x 4" cards that I just layered onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The deer is a little self-adhesive die cut that also comes in the pack. All I needed to have on hand besides the pack was the cardstock in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce; plus some adhesive. See super simple but an impressive end result.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more Memories and More Card Pack inspiration.
