Retiring Products Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

This next month will be full of sharing some awesome projects made with retiring products since we only have about a month left before they are gone forever. Some of my favorite sets are on that list. Sharing sweet thoughts is one of those many sets. I love the jar and the different types of "lids" you can stamp for it. And all the little pieces that go with it are just awesome. Reminds me of my childhood. We would catch fireflies at my Gram's house, put them in a canning jar with a lid that we poked holes into using a screwdriver. High tech stuff we had going on in the 80's, but we had such great memories of growing up.

I've joined a blog hop today to share retiring products. Be sure to continue on hopping so you can see all the inspiration that's waiting for you. You won't be disappointed. Follow the links below.

For this card, I chose not to use the jar from the set to show that you could easily do so many other things with the card without it.  This is a simple card to let a friend or loved on know that you are always there for them no matter what.

I used the Delightful Daisy designer series paper on the bottom half of the card. Then I stamped the butterflies on the white cardstock and an additional set of butterflies on a scrap piece of cardstock. Colored them in with the Stampin' Write markers, cut out the ones on the scrap and attached those to the card using (my favorite things) dimensionals. Definitely a cheerful card that will lift anyone's spirits if they were feeling down.

This layout allows you to make multiples of this card without too much fuss which is another nice thing. So get out your stamps, ink and paper and get crafty. Remember there's only about a month left to get all of your favorite retiring products. But don't wait, there's a limited quantity so once an item is gone you will no longer be able to order it.

Here's the LAST CHANCE LIST For the Annual Catalog.

Here's the LAST CHANCE LIST for the Occasions Catalog.

Thanks for stopping by. Keep hopping.

Get Crafty During National Craft Month

Hello Stamping Friends,

Did you know that March is National Craft Month? So it's time to get your craft on and start making some of those pretty things that have been on your to do list. I'm sure there are plenty of things that have been waiting for you to make.

I am part of a blog hop today to share with you some crafty paper inspired projects. So be sure to scroll to the end of the post to continue on to the rest of the hop and get even more inspiration. You won't be sorry. The hop is full of talented stampers/crafters and you won't want to miss one blog.

I made these adorable little treat holders using designer series paper, Naturally Eclectic to cover the base of the round tins and the rim of the lid. I used two different papers to add more to the finished look. Then I stamped the daisy from Delightful Daisy in rich razzleberry onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock and whisper white cardstock. Punch them out and layer them together with dimensionals in between each layer. There's three flowers punched out to make the one flower. Then just add one of the Gold Faceted Gems to the center of the flower to complete it.

I found these beauties at the local dollar store. There are even two in a pack and to make them even sweeter  they have a magnet bottom so they will stick to any magnetic surface. You can use them for some office supplies, a gift box for some jewelry, or like I did with some candy. They make great party favors or I'm just thinking about you gifts, too.

Wouldn't you be delighted to receive this little gift for no reason? They are quick and easy to make with minimal supplies as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to keep hopping. See you soon.

Stamper's Dozen Sweet Soiree Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's a big day. Not only is it Valentine's Day but it is a blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen. We know that's always an exciting day of the month.  This month the theme we were following was to use the Sweet Soiree Suite from the Occasions Catalog. This suite is packed full of great products, stamps, coordinating thinlits, designer series paper, embellishments and so much more.

I chose to make a card using just the designer series paper from the suite. It's amazing how many other products from the Annual Catalog also work great with the designer series paper. The Rose Wonder stamp set was perfect to add some stamping to the inside and the greetings for both the inside piece and the outside of the card completed this card.

I decided to make a fun fold card. The card is 12" x 5 1/2" and it's scored at 2", 4", and 6" on the 12" side. and then it is cut from the 2" to 6" parts at 1 1/2" from top and bottom. When you are folding the card the middle part that is cut is popped out the opposite way.

Isn't it great that the paper comes with a beautiful foil sheet that is full of wedding cakes that can easily be cut out and used as a focal point on the card like I did here? Plus you get two sheets of them so you can make well over 30 cards with cakes. What a "sweet" deal.

Don't forget to keep on hopping. Next up we have Bonnie O'Neill. Just click the next button below

Time for Some Sale-bation

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's that time of year that we all love; Sale-a-bration. Yep, that's right, FREE stamps and products. Who doesn't love FREE. The awesome part is that we are just at the beginning and we have even more products that will come out in a few weeks for you to choose from so get your order placed now in order for you to be ready for more awesome freebies when the time comes.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are focusing on some Sale-a-bration items so be sure to head over there for more inspiration.

I used the Epic Celebrations stamp set for my card. It's a great teen boy stamp set. Actually, I think those sneakers would be adorable in pink with a little glitter. How fun would that be?  I think I'll have to try it. (Michele, don't worry, I won't make you make a pink card)

Anyway, better get back to this card. Dapper denim and emerald envy were my starting point for colors. Then I decided a little crumb cake was in order for the dotted background and carried that through with my sneakers as the focal point. The sneakers were stamped on crumb cake and colored in with the light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends marker. The naturally eclectic designer series paper  was a nice little accent piece for this card.

Remember, during Sale-a-bration you get to select one item for every $50 in product that you order (prior to shipping and tax). And new for this year are a few $100 options that are even bigger and better than the $50 options. Be sure to get that ordered placed because in a few weeks you will have even more items to choose from that you will just have to have.

I have several dates open for workshops. Book your party and earn even more FREE product during Sale-a-bration.  Better yet, join the Stampin' Up! family and get $125 in product, plus two free stamp sets of your choice from the Annual Catalog or the Occasions catalog for just $99. No strings attached. Ask me about it today.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more Sale-a-bration idea.s

Online Extravaganza and a Little Card for You

Hello Stamping Freinds,

I'm so excited. Today is the day that we have been waiting for. It's the beginning of Online Extravaganza. That means savings from 10-50% off select items. There are select stamp sets at 20% off today, November 20th, only. Don't miss this sale.

CLICK HERE to see the complete flyer for the sale.

And here's a quick little stamping treat for you.

This was a unique fold card that I made recently at a few workshops. It was quick and pretty easy with minimal stamping. The only stamping is the little swirls around the oval and the word celebrate. The girl and cupcakes were cut out from designer series paper. The other crumb cake paper is also from the designer series paper. I think the hardest part of the card is cutting out all the pieces.

Delightful Daisy Thank You

Hello Stamping Friends,

I know this is crazy, but I'm posting for the fourth time this week. I'm back on track. Life has been a bit hectic here these last few months and I'm sorry I wasn't able to post more, but hopefully this is the new trend and you will be seeing and hearing more from me on a regular basis. I missed posting.

It's Friday and you know that means a post with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are using a theme of "thankful." We all have so much in our lives to be thankful for, why don't you take a time out to write a thank you note to a friend or loved one telling them how much they mean to you. Doesn't have to be a thank you card for just receiving a gift.

This card uses the ever popular, Delightful Daisy stamp set. It's a bit of a unique fold design. I made a regular sized card into a pocket card. All I did was score the front edge at 1 1/4"  and fold it down. The sides are attached closed using some fast fuse. It is such a fun, easy card to make when you want to make a card but make it a little different than you usually do.

Here's the insert of the card. Some pretty flowers as the background. You can choose to either write on the back side of the card or use a dark, preferably black, felt tip pen to write over the stamped flowers.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping to see more projects using this great thankful theme.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Stamp, Scrap, Craft Blog Tour

Hello Stamping Friends,

I am participating in another great blog hop today that you be certain to give you inspiration to go and create some awesome projects of your own. Below you will find the list of people that are participating in the hop, just click on a name and see what they have to share. All projects are inspired by new products found in the 2017-2018 Catalog.

I chose to use the fun new set Pocketful of Sunshine for my card. The pocket is so fun and can be filled with so many things; a gift card, good 'ole fashioned cash, or even some small treats. For this card, I wanted it to look like a pair of jeans with the back pocket. The green would be the shirt that is tucked into the jeans. What do you think, does it look like jeans?

Of course, I needed to use the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp and insert a pair of sunglasses to protect from all that sunshine.  The thinlits make it so easy to cut out the pocket and the sunglasses. This is a great set that I can't wait to use more.

Don't forget to keep on hopping by clicking the next name under mine.

For the Love of Paper & Ribbon

Hello Stamping Friends,

I am doing a round of ribbon and designer series paper shares. If you love ribbon and/or designer series paper, this is definitely for you. You will get a small sampling of all the new ribbon and/or designer series paper for a fraction of the price of what it would be to order all of them. It's a great way to get it all to see which ones you really like and then you can order those specific packs of paper or spools of ribbon.

If you were to order all of the ribbon and designer series paper yourself, it would be over $600.

This is not all of the designer series paper you will get. It's just a sampling of them. You will receive over 160 pieces of 6x6 paper for just $26.

This is not all of the ribbon, it is just a sampling of each one you would get as part of the ribbon share. You will receive 81 yards of ribbon/twine for $45.

Sign up for one or both of these shares by calling or emailing me to let me know you are interested.

Time to Party with Some Balloons

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing cards with balloons. After all, what's a party (specifically a birthday party) without balloons? Balloons are so cheerful, fun and festive. And of course, Stampin' Up! has plenty of balloons for you to choose from to make some awesome projects.

I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the Happy Birthday thinlits die to make this card. And by no surprise at all I used the awesome new color:  Lemon Lime Twist. It's my all time favorite. I mean I do have a car in this exact color scheme and I absolutely love my car. It's so fun. (except there's no hiding, everyone knows it's us because there aren't too many of them around the area.

Anyway, back to the card. Notice the background on the card is a bunch of different festive, birthday type greetings. They are all found in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I DID NOT randomly stamp them all over the white cardstock. I used a large clear block and arranged each individual saying on the block to make my own background type stamp. Then I just stamped it twice on the cardstock. Way better than stamping each one individually. Try it out, you'll like the ease of stamping like this.

Once I stamped the "background" I stamped the flower stamp randomly all over in black.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see more party balloon ideas.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Let's Hear it For the Guys Blog Hop

 Hello Stamping Friends,

A month has already passed since the last Stamper's Dozen blog hop, I can hardly believe it. This month we are focusing on the guys in our lives. Whether it's Father's Day (coming up on Sunday), a graduate or even your favorite guy's birthday, you're sure to love this month's ideas.

You would think being that I have a husband, two sons, grandson, brother, and lots of brother-in-laws that I would be full of the guy ideas, but I must be honest with you, I AM NOT. I struggle with guy cards I think because I just like the frilly girly stuff so much. So when there is a guy challenge I embrace it, accept the challenge and am usually quite pleased with the end result.

This card was no different. There's no bling, no frills, not even a ton of layers (which I also really like) but I must say, I am quite pleased with the end result.  First I stamped the truck in basic black on watercolor paper, then I did a clear water wash around the truck to have the ink (from reinkers) "float" around the paper to make the sky and ground. Then I watercolored the truck using an aquapainter and reinkers. If you want you can easily change out the Happy Father's Day greeting and switch it to suit any need you may have. The greeting is stamped in whisper white craft ink on basic black cardstock.

To finish it off, I just used a basic black marker to add some darker detail to a few spots on the truck. Hope you are inspired. If you want to learn how to make this card or even watercolor contact me to schedule your own private class. I'd love to show you and your friends how easy it is.

Next up, we have Bonnie's great project. Click on the Next blog button below to go to her blog.

If you're just starting here at my blog, you missed out on Judy's, so click the previous blog to see that.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.
