Stamper's Dozen Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's time for another Stamper's Dozen blog hop. There's always so many great ideas shared and this month's hop is just as good. We are sharing with you some awesome ideas using Sale-a-bration products that you can earn for FREE. So let get started and begin to Sale-a-brate.

Remember for every $50 you order in product (prior to shipping and tax) you will get to select one Sale-a-bration item of your choice for FREE. New this year is a few products that are at the $100 level for FREE.

The Epic Celebrations stamp set is a perfect set for those adolescent boy cards that always see so difficult to come up with.  The set includes two sayings, head phones, sneakers and the guitar, along with a little dot stamp that is great for backgrounds or just that extra little something a card might need.

I used the new Stampin' blends to color the guitar after I stamped it with Momento Black Ink. I used the Petal Passion designer series paper from the Occasions catalog for the background. Yep, who would have thought something that says petal and passion together would work for a masculine card. Well, this paper sure does the trick thanks to the back side being not so "girly."

I finished it off with some light bermuda bay dots around the edges of the guitar and the greeting. Seriously, it was the perfect touch.  The guitar image is just attached with snail adhesive but the greeting is attached with dimensionals. Don't worry, they are there. I know you would have thought something was wrong if I didn't use my favorite tool.

The inside was stamped with the other greeting, "You're Awesome"  on whisper white cardstock. I love this card because it can be used for a variety of celebrations. It's not just a birthday greeting.

Keep hopping. Make sure to go all the way through to see each of the projects. You won't want to miss any.

Time for Some Sale-bation

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's that time of year that we all love; Sale-a-bration. Yep, that's right, FREE stamps and products. Who doesn't love FREE. The awesome part is that we are just at the beginning and we have even more products that will come out in a few weeks for you to choose from so get your order placed now in order for you to be ready for more awesome freebies when the time comes.

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are focusing on some Sale-a-bration items so be sure to head over there for more inspiration.

I used the Epic Celebrations stamp set for my card. It's a great teen boy stamp set. Actually, I think those sneakers would be adorable in pink with a little glitter. How fun would that be?  I think I'll have to try it. (Michele, don't worry, I won't make you make a pink card)

Anyway, better get back to this card. Dapper denim and emerald envy were my starting point for colors. Then I decided a little crumb cake was in order for the dotted background and carried that through with my sneakers as the focal point. The sneakers were stamped on crumb cake and colored in with the light Night of Navy Stampin' Blends marker. The naturally eclectic designer series paper  was a nice little accent piece for this card.

Remember, during Sale-a-bration you get to select one item for every $50 in product that you order (prior to shipping and tax). And new for this year are a few $100 options that are even bigger and better than the $50 options. Be sure to get that ordered placed because in a few weeks you will have even more items to choose from that you will just have to have.

I have several dates open for workshops. Book your party and earn even more FREE product during Sale-a-bration.  Better yet, join the Stampin' Up! family and get $125 in product, plus two free stamp sets of your choice from the Annual Catalog or the Occasions catalog for just $99. No strings attached. Ask me about it today.

Skating By

Today, I'm just skating by quickly to say hello and share a quick sample with you. This was a card I created for a swap for my team, the Yurinkin' Stamp Addicts. My son, Noah, loves his skateboard, so I just had to have the new shilouette of the skater stamp when I saw it. I designed this card with him in mind. He loves red and black so I started with those colors and let the creative juices flow. I decided to create a template to mimic a "half pipe" (that's the black thing the skater is on for all you non-skaters out there) because Noah keeps asking for one for our yard so he can skate on it. I laid the template over the area I didn't want colored and then I used a sponge to ink the black staz-on all over the rest of the glossy cardstock.

I love the saying, especially for children of Noah's age. I want him to be himself and be proud of that. It's so true no one is more qualified to be you than you are.

Have a wonderful day.
