Blending Together

Hello Stamping Friends,

Have you tried the blending brushes yet? I mean, they are so soft you just want to rub them on your face, but I mean have you used ink and paper with them?

I used the paper you can get for FREE with a $50 order now (since it is Sale-a-bration) and made it a little more interesting. It is white with gold foil designs. So I used the blending brush to add a few colors to change it up a little. The foil acts as a resist so your gold design isn't ruined at all. Isn't that awesome. Imagine the possibilities.....

The wish you were here greeting made me think of my dog every time we leave the house. She sits on the back of the couch or chair looking out waiting for us to come home. So, I imagine her thoughts mimic the greeting.

I used So Saffron, Parakeet Party, and Tahitian Tide as my color scheme.

Be sure to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more blending brush ideas.

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

I am so excited about this blog hop today. It's a color challenge and I must say I love the colors. They really speak to me because they are bright and cheerful. Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, and Melon Mambo. Such fun!!!!

Look at those colors together. Don't they just make you happy and automatically smile?

I used three different sets to make this card. One of the sets you may not have even thought about using on a card except to stamp the back saying that it was handmade, never mind as the focal point. The little stamp is from the Limited Stamp Set and is usually used to stamp the back of cards saying they are handstamped. I decided to just use the wooden stamp (cut everything else out).

I also used the Stitchery set for the background on the card. I think that is such a fun set and definitely not used as often as it should be.  For the greeting, I wanted something about a heart since the stamps have a heart on them. The Lovely You set had the perfect greeting.

I love how this card turned out. I hope you do too. If you want any of these products visit my store by clicking on my name below. Don't forget it's Sale-a-bration and when you order $50 or more in product you get to select a FREEBIE.

Thanks for stopping by. Remember to keep hopping for more great project ideas using this color challenge.

Fun in the Sun Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's been a bit since I joined in the fun on a Crafty Collaborations blog hop, but I'm back for this great hop. A Fun in the Sun hop sounds fantastic right about now. What kind of fun do you have in the sun? Are you a winter sun or a summer sun person? There's activities for every season in the sun.

There are so many things that say fun in the sun for me, but I think the one thing that loves the sun most is flowers. They open and lean their petals towards the sun. Without the sun, we wouldn't have very many pretty, colorful flowers to enjoy, so I decided on a card that is bursting with flowers for today.

I used the Hues of Happiness designer series paper for most of my card. Those bright and colorful flowers are cut from designer paper and they make a beautiful card. All I stamped were the green outline of leaves along the left side and the bottom to fill in and the greeting. The rest was cut (many using the coordinating dies to cut them out) from the designer paper. Isn't it a beautiful card?

Don't forget that Sale-a-bration is going on right now and you can select some FREEBIES for every $50 order you place  now through the end of August. Just click on my name below to start your order or you can always contact me personally and I can help answer any questions.

Have a great day. Remember to keep hopping. See you soon.

It's Birthday Time

Hello Stamping Friends,

Sisters in Stamping says it's time for some birthday fun by making birthday cards. I mean seriously, we all need birthday cards since every person we know has a birthday every year.

If you know me, you know I love elephants. And this elephant set is so adorable that I just couldn't resist it when I saw it in the catalog. I just needed to have it right away. They are the sweetest little elephants.

I used the 2022-2024 in-colors on this card. The designer paper has several different patterns in each color so it's easy to get a unique look just using one pack of paper. Also, stamping the elephant on colored cardstock saves you some time of coloring in and it a different look when you want to switch things up. I used the Stampin' Blends to do a little shading on the elephant once it was die cut. (I know, it's not easy to see in the picture, but trust me; it's there.)

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more birthday ideas. Also, Sale-a-bration is currently underway, so get those orders in to earn a FREEBIE (any order over $50 qualifies)

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Stampers Dozen Summertime Quick & Easy

Hello stamping friends,

Hope you are having a wonderful day. Today is the day that we hop with the Stampers Dozen group. It's summertime and we all need some quick and easy projects to fit everything in that we want to accomplish in the few short summer months. Are you with me on this?

As soon as I saw the sweet elephants in the annual catalog, I just knew they would be making their way into my stamp room to be loved. Afterall, my logo is an elephant. I just love them ever since I was young. Well, maybe not too young. I do remember the one elephant at our local zoo once sprayed water all over me and I cried.  She actually was rehomed to the National Zoo in Washington D.C. because our zoo was closing and honestly, it was way too small for her to be happy. Her name was Toni. I remember her fondly now, but at the time, NOT SO MUCH! haha

This card is rather quick and easy to put together. Two stamps and some layers. After I stamped the elephant, I used a blender pen to pull some of the color from the outline to gently give the elephant some color.

Perhaps the most difficult thing to do on this card was tying that cute little bow on the elephant's trunk. As if you couldn't tell, I love tying ribbons on their trunks. Just look at my logo.

Don't forget we are currently in the middle of Sale-a-bration and you can earn FREE PRODUCT for purchasing, hosting, or joining the family. Ask me questions, I'm happy to answer them.

Need Some Masculine Cards

Hello Stamping Friends,

Sometimes you just need a card for the guys. This week with the Sisters in Stamping will help you find the inspiration to make more masculine cards. I often need cards for guys, but I have a hard time making them.  Well, the new designer series paper in the Annual catalog will help you make some quick, easy cards without even stamping. Crazy, right? It's true though.

Look at that beauty. No stamping involved. And the really awesome part of this designer paper is that there are two sheets of die-cut images that you just need to pop out. So easy. No need for cutting images out. The car and the greeting on my card are from the die cut sheets. Awesome, right?

I'll be holding a class to make a bunch of these cards in August.  Watch for more information. You won't want to miss this class.

Don't forget to head on over to Sisters in Stamping for more masculine inspiration.

July-December 2022 Mini Catalog Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Here today for a great blog hop sharing ideas from the awesome July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. You won't want to miss any of the link that you will find below because there's so much inspiration.

I love old typewriters. (Now that I don't need to use them and worry about making a mistake) I just had to get this new set when I saw the typewriter.  I even made my typewrite blue like the one I had as a kid.

I also used some new black and white designer paper to really make my image pop and be the focal point of my card. I love the contrast of the black and white triangles on the card. It's really easy to achieve. Just cut your layer down to the next size (in this case, it was 3 3/4" x 5") and then cut on an angle from one corner to the opposite diagonal corner. So you will end up with pieces to make two cards after cutting two different designs.

There was some fussy cutting since I wanted the typewriter blue and the paper white, but it wasn't too bad and was all worth it in the end. I actually made 14 cards so it really wasn't awful at all.
