TIME FOR A COLOR REUNION; STAMPIN' UP! IS BRINGING BACK SOME FAVORITES

Announcing our Color Refresh! We love color and we know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!

Why now? In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone. We encourage you to know that any of our retiring color products are only available while supplies last so they can get their favorites and look forward to the exciting colors coming in the 2013-2014 annual catalog. And also announced today, free shipping is going on April 6-8, 2013, which would be a great time for you  to get your favorites before they are gone!

Petite Curly Label Punch Now Available

The Petite Curly Label Punch that you saw in the Sale-A-Bration brochure is now available for purchase! You and your customers can buy it through May 31, and it will also be available in the new 2013-2014 annual catalog. It is only $12.95(plus shipping and tax).

And now a little stamping idea for you. Didn't want to leave you before I give you a creative idea.

This is a card that we made at my Big Shot class in March.  We used two different big shot products to make this card: the cloudy day embossing folder and the oval framelits.  It also uses the hostess set from the Spring catalog and the Sunshine and Sprinkles designer series paper.

A Variety of Projects

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I'm sharing with you a couple of projects. I know it's certainly more than you are used to but that's because I am submitting these projects to Stampin' Up! and they need to be in one place. Hope you don't mind extra creativity on a Monday.

This is a 12 x 12 page of Jonah and my nephew, Aaron in their Halloween costumes. My brother in law is a professional photographer so he wanted to take them to the movie theater and do some pictures.  The people at the theater were more than happy to have these two cuties pose.  Yes, they are sitting on the concession stand. The pictures turned out great.

Just a close-up of the journaling.

And a close-up of the picture so you can see them better.

Here's a card that I made multiples of for the upcoming regional seminar in Baltimore. I can't wait for it.  I love the multiple textures on this card by using embossing folder, cut out stamped images, and the 2 1/2" circle punch to add dimension.

And here's a fun birthday card that would be great for any boy, young or old, or anyone else you may need to give a card to.  I love the unique use of the apothecary framelits on this card. I cut off the bottom half circle to make it a straight edge.  Great way to get a whole new look.   It also uses a Make a Wish set and the honeycomb embossing folder from the Spring Catalog.

Hope you have enjoyed the extra projects today.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Happy Easter

Hello Stamping Friends,

I hope you take a few moments to reflect on what today really is. Jesus died on a cross and rose again to take away all our sins so we can go to Heaven for eternity. He made the ultimate sacrifice to give us a gift of eternal life.

This card is a bright, Springy looking card that I thought would be a good card to share with you on Easter. It says renewal to me.  I know the greeting I have on it says Happy Birthday but it easily could have said Happy Easter. Besides, we are celebrating a birthday here at my house today as well as Easter. It's Brittney's 23rd birthday (3rd birthday that has fallen on Easter, too). So it is still a very fitting card.  Happy Birthday Britt!

This was a card that I saw and tweaked to make it my own. I love yellow roses so that was my major change, the card I saw used reds.  It really changes the complete look of the card. This was another card made at a recent big shot class.  A lot of stamping and cutting but it's such an impressive looking card when finished. No, you wouldn't want to make 50 of these beauties, but a couple isn't too bad.

Happy Spring!

Hell Stamping Friends,

It's such a beautiful day out today. The sun is shining and it's a little warmer than it has been. No new snow overnight, so that's a super duper bonus in my book.  Yes, there is still a good amount of snow on the ground here at my house, guess that's what happens when you live on the mountain. But, regardless, the sun is shining and it's a great Spring day.

Spending the days getting ready for Easter tomorrow. We have a some family coming (only about 20 people, lol) for dinner and an egg hunt.  Guess I better get filling all those eggs the kids want to find.

Anyway, onto stamping, the real reason you come to my blog, right?  This card was inspired by a card I saw online and I changed it up a bit to make it my own.  I love it. It's so soft and sweet looking. Since there is no greeting on this card, I think you can use it for so many occasions: birthday, baby girl, wedding, even sympathy (although I know we do NOT like to have to use those cards).

I used this card at a recent Big Shot class. It uses three different embossing folders and framelits. Definitely a good card to make at a big shot class. Don't forget to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Ready for the Bunny?

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's time for another great Fabulous Friday posting with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing with you some last minute Easter treat ideas.  These are great if you want to give something small so show you care but want to make a huge impact.  I made about 45 of these cute little guys and gave them to Jonah to pass out to all the teachers and aides in his school. I was there that day as a mom (I am often a teacher there when substituting for other teachers) just volunteering to help with the annual egg races and many of the teachers and aides shared their excitement with me about getting this little treat.

They do deserve a little more appreciation then they get and definitely more often than what they receive. I was happy to see that I was able to put a little smile on their faces and brighten their day a little more. Afterall, the day was pretty bright for them already. It was a half day and then they would have the next 5 days off for Easter break.

Isn't it adorable?  And the best part of all is that there is chocolate inside.  I used the two tags die to make this little holder.  I folded a piece of cardstock in half and placed it just above the end of the tag so that it wouldn't cut the cardstock in two pieces, rather it would keep the fold and I'd be able to hide something inside.

I made them in all different colors. I just went to my stash of scraps (there's plenty of that hanging around) and pulled all "Eastery" colors. I actually used all scraps for the bunnies as well. Yes, I had that much early espresso pieces laying around.  I didn't have to cut even one full sheet of cardstock to make all 45 treats. Crazy, when you think about it.

So if you need to make a few little treats, just make these guys. They truly are quick and easy and quite impressive when received.

A Huge Thank You for a Great Sale-a-bration

Hello Stamping Friends,

I just wanted to drop by today and say a quick thank you for a wonderful Sale-a-bration.  So many of you got several great products and stamps for FREE these past two months.  I hope you are enjoying all of it.

This card was one that I created for my big shot class last month.  It is a take on a card that was in our demonstrator magazine (Stampin' Success).  I changed a few of the colors, otherwise it is the same as what was pictured.  I love that we receive this magazine bimonthly.  It's full of great stamping ideas and business ideas, so if you ever thought of being a part of this great company, don't think you have to do it alone. There are so many great resources available to us, website, webinars, magazines, training events and so much more. I'm here to chat when you feel the time is right for you.
