Stampers Dozen In-Color Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's been a hot minute (or more a whole month) since I have posted. Life has been super busy this past month, but now I'm on summer break from school and I hope I can be back here more often sharing great ideas with my friends.

Tonight is the monthly Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. We are focusing on the great new in-colors this month. I have to say I love, love, love these new colors. My favorite colors are pink and green, so this set is perfect with two of each.

I used the Unbounded Beauty 12x12 Designer series paper pack for my card. I used my sentiment as my focal point and let the paper do the work of bringing it together. I made this a sympathy card, but you can easily change the greeting to make it a card for any occasion you need. The In-color shimmer gems are another nice little touch.  I used the summer splash ribbon and scrunched it along the bottom of the designer series paper.

The white background was also embossed with the eyelet 3D embossing folder. Not a lot of stamping on this card, but there is a lot of texture to add interest.

Don't forget to keep hopping by clicking the links below. You will love the projects the other stampers share.

Easter Blog Hop with Crafty Collaborations

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's Easter week. What kind of traditions do you have with your family? Do you color eggs, have egg hunts, volunteer, eat a big meal together? Share you traditions by leaving a comment. I'd love to hear.

Today is a great Easter blog hop with Crafty Collaborations. You are going to love the projects that everyone had made, so be sure to keep hopping through the list below to visit everyone.

I made this adorable little duck and chick card.  The strips are all different sizes because they were literally scraps from previous projects I made. See HERE.  Making an extra layer with small scraps is a perfect way to use every last piece that you possibly can.

Remember to keep hopping. To order any of these products visit my WEBSITE if you live in the United States.

It's all Going to the Birds

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. This week is all going to the birds. We are sharing with you cards made using a bird theme. There are a few great sets in the 2018 Occasions catalog focused on birds and there's also several great sets in the Annual catalog as well.

\

For my card, I used the Bird Banter set from the Occasions catalog. Such a fun set that is great for parties and celebrations but I chose to make my card into a thank you card. We really should send out more thank you cards and let those around us know how grateful we are for all that they do for us.

I embossed the background using the Layered Leaves dynamic embossing folder because I thought it was a great way to have the birds "in a tree" surrounded by leaves. I punched out 3 different size circles (2 1/2", 2" and 1 3/4") before stamping the different bird images on them. Yes, some details of each bird is "cut off" but that is exactly how I wanted it.  I then used the awesome Stampin' Blends to color each of the birds. I drew the branch under each bird using the Bronze stampin' blend.

I decided to stamp the thank you greeting right onto the same circle as one of the birds to not take away from the overall look of the card.

I'm so happy with how this turned out. Imagine the possibilities when you switch up the colors. Every card you make can loo so different. Be creative and have fun.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more bird ideas.

Also, Sale-a-bration is going on now. Book your personal class for you and your friends soon. You don't want to miss out on this great once a year sale.

Bring on the New

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Friday to you. It's a chilling, windy day here in Northeast PA. Wind chill is almost 20 below zero. Now that's cold. My poor dog needs to go outside but she just can't handle the cold. It took her about 6 door openings before she actually got up the courage to go out and do her thing. The first three times, I just opened the door and she turned around. Then she went out but came right back in. I feel so bad for her. God bless all the people that work outside this weekend as well as the homeless. I pray they find shelter.

Here we are another Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are sharing cards made using product from the brand new Occasions catalog that went live just 2 days ago. Do you have your copy? If not, let me know and I'll get one out to you. I have to say I love this catalog. There are so many fun stamps and accessories.

Despite the cold temps, I decided to use the Flying Home stamp set. I know there aren't any little birds outside chirping right now but it is a cheerful card. I love the saying too. I used the Stampin' Blends to color this image after I stamped it with Momento Black ink.

The two embossing folders I used I thought were a perfect compliment to the card. The top leaves go with the leaves on the branches and the bottom wood grain mimics the nest. Don't you think?

Anyway, don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what the other sisters are sharing today.

Thanks for stopping by. Please stay warm this weekend. (I think it's a perfect time to stamp. 😉😜😉)

Warm Wishes

Hello Stamping Friends,

I still posting. That's a good thing, right?  I just needed to figure out this whole time management thing while working full time. That has taken me awhile but I think I got it now. I hope you have been enjoying hearing from more often. Okay, I really hope you have been inspired by the projects I've shared too. I know I enjoyed creating them and shouldn't keep that all to myself.

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who placed an order on Monday during the FREE shipping sale. It was a great day because of all of you. I hope you enjoy your new "toys." Let the happy creating begin.

This card is a card that can be used for Christmas, a winter thank you, winter birthday, or a just because kind of card. Notice I didn't put any greeting on the front. That leaves it open for just about anything you may need a card for during the cold, winter months.

I love the black and white look with a pop of color. I used the Lemon Lime Twist color for this card (no surprise there for anyone that knows me). It doesn't take much of the colored cardstock, just a 2 1/2" circle of it. I used the In-color Markers to color in the sweater after I stamped it in black.

I used just a quarter of the foil snowflake behind the sweater. That's right, you can get four cards out of one little snowflake. Also, I cut the designer paper into squares and then cut them in half to make 2 triangles from each one. So there are quite a few layers on this card, but you don't have to use a ton of supplies to achieve a great layered look. Plus, the card isn't too heavy with small pieces for layers.

I love how the embossed snowflake coordinates beautifully with the snowflake on the sweater. It really brings the entire card together.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you soon,

Always Appreciate Being Lifted Up

Hello Stamping Friends,

Being lifted up by friends when you are feeling down is certainly one of the best things of having friends. The love and support they offer when you are not feeling the best (either physically or emotionally) simply can't be replaced. And having several friends like that is just the best.

Today's card is perfect to send to one of those friends that was there for you and lifted you up when you needed it. A hot air balloon is the perfect way to show your appreciation to being lifted up.

The Carried Away designer series paper is so fun. I absolutely love, love this paper of the map. The hot air balloon is going up over the town. So fun, isn't it? This card is relatively easy to make. To get the colors behind the balloon you just use the framelits. Yep, there are shapes that fit the balloon so you can easily layer different colors and/or papers. Pretty nifty, I tell ya!
