The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another awesome blog hop with the Stampers Dozen. We are ready to celebrate the man, the myth, the legend. You know, the dads in our lives. Next weekend is their special day and we are ready to share with you some great projects that you can recreate this week just in time to give it to the special dad in your life.

Nothing says dads day like a man relaxing in a chair with his hat tipped over his eyes while he takes a little siesta. This stamp is perfect and the sentiment tells the perfect story: it's your day, you can relax and enjoy it your way.

For this card, I made it in to a gift card holder. Notice in the picture above that there is a half circle cut out in the folded part. That's where you can tuck the gift card to dad's favorite restaurant, store, or recreational activity while he is reminded that he can relax his way.

Remember to keep hopping and be sure to make the man, the myth, the legend in your life that special card or project for Father's Day next week.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Going, Going, Gone

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's already the middle of May. Life has certainly been strange for the past few months but in the end it's all that we make of it. I hope you are making some great memories with your family and getting outside as much as possible to enjoy the great outdoors.

It's time for another great blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen group. These ladies are very talented and come together once a month to share their inspiration with everyone. Be sure to continue through the hop after visiting my blog.

The Animal Outing Set is retiring and it's such a nice set to color. Plus, who doesn't appreciate some wild animals to bring some happiness? I love this particular stamp because of the relationship of the bird and the rhino. Two completely different species being kind to each other just like we should be kind to everyone even if we don't agree with them.

I also used the handwritten background stamp that we will be saying see ya later to very soon as well.

Keep hopping to see even more great ideas using some of our favorite items that we need to say see you later to.

Time to Say Goodbye

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Have you checked out the retiring list of stamps and accessories? There's so many great things on them that I will certainly miss. Over at Sisters in Stamping, we are sharing some great cards that were made using sets that will soon be retired. I can't believe it's already time to say goodbye. The stamp set on today's card is definitely one that I will miss.

As a teacher myself, I can always use thank you cards that are geared towards school and children. This set, Check You Out, it one that totally fits the bill for those cards. I love the little owl and, of course, the books. The icing on the cake is the set of eyeglasses to put on the owl. The set also has a cute little worm (you won't catch me saying that phrase often) that is also perfect for the books.

On this card, I also used the retiring Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. It's not just for the dinosaur set as you can see here. It has the perfect balance of fun color to add to this card.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more ideas.

Today is for the Birds!

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Friday to you. Today is for the birds! No, I'm not having a bad day, I'm talking about the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday blog hop.  It's all about the birds. There are so many great bird sets in the annual catalog that you can create for days.

I made this friendship card. It's a pretty card that will let a friend know just how important they are to you. After all, having a great friend is the best thing in the world to have. Someone that you can lean on when times are tough and someone to have a good time filled with laughs.

I have so many great friends that I know I can lean on when needed, but they are also a great group of friends that I can laugh so hard with them until I cry.

I used the Free as a Bird Bundle for my card. The bundle includes stamps and dies that coordinate. I wanted a neutral base so the focal point, the birds on the branch, stood out more than anything else. What do you think?

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more creative ideas that are "for the birds."
