Never too many Birthday cards

Hello Stamping friends,

Today I am finishing the parade of display samples cards using the You're Amazing stamp set.  This is the last card/project that I made for the convention display boards with this set.  It is a pretty simple card that can be used for any birthday you have coming up.  I love the colors and texture on this card.

This card isn't full of frills but it is really nice. Or so I think so anyway. Again, change the colors and you have a whole different looking card. I'm telling you, I am really loving the simple looking cards lately.  Although I can promise you, I also love the cards full of details. Guess, I'm not picky, I love it all.

Isn't it amazing how different all six of these projects turned out. It was challenging to create them but I enjoyed every minute of it. And I'm extremely please with how they all turned out. Remember I have 18 more display samples to share with you so I hope you are ready and stay tuned to see all of them.

Amazing Masculine Friday

Hello Stampers,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday at Sisters in Stamping. This week we are focusing on masculine cards. I know we can all use more ideas for cards for the men in our lives. Funny how I have a husband and two sons and I struggle all the time with making masculine cards that I even like. The girly cards are so easy to make, why do the masculine have to be so difficult????

This is another card from the Convention display sample parade. I know I promised to share more with you and I misseda few days but I'm back and ready to share more. Hope you are ready too.

This card uses the You're Amazing set. I still have another project using this set to share with you. Come back tomorrow for that one.  Lots of big shot use for this card. It's a simple card to make though.  Change out the greeting and you have a card ready for a birthday or any other event you need it for.

Monumental

Hello Stamping Friends,

Glad you came to see another convention display sample parade project.  Today we continue with the You're Amazing stamp set.  I decided to scrap some of the pictures I took of the boys on our trip to Washington D.C last year for this page.  I loved the play on the word monumental since all of the pictures are of different monuments we visited while in D.C.  I mean really, it is monumental that no tickets are needed. There are a lot of FREE things to see while visiting our nation's capital.

This page a a bit of a challenge for me to design because let me tell you the word monumental is a BIG word. At first I wanted to use the awesome new alphabet dies but guess what, the word was just too monumental to fit on a 12 x 12 page. So I needed to check out my alphabet stamps because I refused to change my title. It had to be that and that's all there was to it. (yes, my stubborn side seriously came out) Plus I wanted to use a lot of pictures that couldn't be cut down too much so I wasn't left with much space. See, I told you it challenged me.

It was great seeing this sample on the boards at convention. I got to see my boys everyday. I felt like they were with me in Utah afterall. I think because of this, I wasn't homesick at all. How could I be, when I got to see my boys everyday? 

See the little tickets between the pictures?  They are from the You're Amazing set. And the big tickets below that are part of the title are from the wheel. I just wheeled them on scrap paper and then cut them apart to use them in my title.  This was another project that I was very proud of.  I'm more than sure it had nothing to do with my biased of my precious sons.

Come One, Come All

Hello Stamping Friends,

I am continuing my convention display samples parade but this is also in line with the Sisters in Stamping theme for this week, texture impressions folders. I love when one card can do two tricks for me.  I think this card here is by far my absolute favorite card of the 24 projects I made for the displays.  I just love how it turned out, hope you feel the same.

It is the third of 6 projects using the You're Amazing stamp set.  I tried to use each set in a different way for all 6 of the projects I needed to create for each one.  That's easier said than done.  You have to really take yourself out of one mode and put yourself into another one very quickly. I am happy with how I was able to make them look different with using the same set over and over. It can be done, I promise. I did it and I lived to tell about it.

Isn't it a fun card. What kid wouldn't love to receive this card for their birthday or special celebration?  There's so much color and texture on this card that it is sure to win over the hearts of any recipient. I think I really love elephants. They are so big and massive yet seem so gentle. Except for the one that sprayed me with water at our little zoo, Nay Aug, when I was a small girl. I didn't really like her much. Well, that was until the park closed and she moved to the National Zoo in Washington D.C., then I decided that I missed her. I always loved riding the elephants when we would go to the circus. I insisted my boys ride the elephant at the Rennaisance Faire because they "needed" to have that same experience. I wonder if they care as much about riding it as I cared for them to actually do it. I'm sure my childhood memories are more important to me than they are to the boys.

You're Amazing

And I truly believe that with all my heart. Each of my stamping friends are amazing and I am grateful to have each of you in my life. Thank you for standing by me and sharing yourself and your passion for stamping with me and for allowing me to share myself and my passion with you.

Today, the convention display sample parade continues. I created 6 different project using the You're Amazing set so I am going to share each of those with you first before I move on to the next stamp set and the 6 projects that go with that.  There are four sets of 6 that you will see in all. Guess that will take up most of August. Hope you're ready for lots of inspiration.

Not all 24 of my projects were on display on convention due to space restrictions and the sheer number of samples they received from all of us display samples.  This is one of those cards. I think there were 7 of the 24 that weren't displayed. So if you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator who attended convention and don't recognize this sample that is why.

There are a lot of layers on this card. But I love how it turned out. It's kind of simple looking but it was a little more work than one might think. Really, is there much more you need when you are telling someone you love that they are amazing?  I don't think so. It's actually a great masculine card too. Which I know are often hard to come by.

Party Time

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today is the day you have all been waiting for. Come one, come all to enjoy the parade of Convention Display samples.  I know I said I would share these over the weekend but I was super busy and didn't have a whole lot of computer time, but don't fret, I am working today on several postings so you will continue to enjoy these samples for quite some time. Remember I have 24 to share with you so hang in there and keep coming back for more.

One of the convention sets we received in our awesome Convention bags was from the World Spectacular suite called You're Amazing. It's a fun set that can be used with a circus themed event or to simply tell someone that they are amazing. Today's treat is great to use as a party favor.

Isn't it sweet?  An awesome party hat made using the petal cone die.  All I have to say is that you NEED the petal cone die. It is awesome and can be made into sooooooooo many different things.  I used the coordinating World Spectacular Designer Series Paper to make the streams on the top of the hat and even used it for some paper piecing for the elephants hat.

And a close up of the hat so you can see the details a little better. I just had to add some texture to the hat with the impressions folders. You know I love them and can't help myself. So the hat itself has polka dots and the "ruffle" has the argyle design embossed on it.  Isn't it awesome?  When this was finished I loved the end result. Hope you do, too.
