Goodbye Blog Hop

Hello Stamping friends,

Time to hop with the Stampers Dozen group. I always look forward to participating in this hop and simply can't believe a month has passed since the last hop. Time is just flying before my eyes.

This month we are sharing with you stamps and accessories that we need to say goodbye to since they will be retiring in just a few short weeks. That means, if you see anything you want, you must order it now before it is gone forever. Time is running out. So hurry.

I just can't help myself. It must be the teacher in me because I love this little apple. Of course, it can be a pumpkin too (and that one is extra cute, too). The fact that this stamp has a punch makes it my favorite that much more. So easy to make a great looking card. 

I went with a clean and simple look for this card and love how it turned out. It's all about an extra layer or two to pull a simple card together and make it look like a great card. This card says to me that if an apple a day keeps the doctor away, then an apple a day will make a friend smile, just because.

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's a great night to share some fabulous fall creations with you. It's time for a blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen. This month is all about welcoming fall y'all. I love the fall season for all things fall: leaves turning colors, pumpkins, hayrides, cornstalks, crisp weather, apples (not apple cider, though) and so many other things. However, I never really get super excited about fall coming because I know what is coming WINTER!!!!! And I will say, I do not love all things that come with winter because it lasts too long here in Northeast Pennsylvania. Once that snow starts it likes to stick around until March, so I will hold off as long as possible. Know what I mean?

I used a nontraditional fall look for my card. I didn't use a ton of orange, reds, browns and greens on my card. I went with a more elegant, subtle look by using more neutral colors and just a little bit of the pretty peacock. I know pumpkins are overwhelmingly orange but I have to say, "I love white pumpkins!" I actually have several around my house that I use to decorate with every year. You know me, I like to be a little different if I can.

Honestly, the paper was my inspiration to stick with a white pumpkin on this card. See those few white ones? I love how Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper can help guide my projects and I know I will love the finished look thanks to the both the designer and colors in the paper.

I'm back so soon. I love being able to share with you more often. My goal is to do it even more. What do you think? Want more creativity coming from this way? I know, I do. 

Tonight is the Stampers Dozen Monthly Blog Hop. This month we are doing anything but a card. So be sure to continue on hopping through the blogs to see many great creations from some talented demonstrators. I know you will enjoy it. 

I'm sticking with the Harvest Hello stamp set tonight. Yep, it's the same one I used yesterday for the Sisters in Stamping blog, but I just can't help it. I love this set. Tonight, I made a quick and super easy little treat to share during the fall. It's not just for Halloween because it's a plain pumpkin. I think these would even be good to place on your Thanksgiving table. Don't you agree?

You start with a 6"x 6" piece of designer series paper. You fold it in half diagonally and then you fold the two narrow end in towards each other to the center of the triangle (It's like folding a cloth diaper). Then you take the open end and fold just one end over the folded center. There's no adhesive used to make the pocket. Just a little origami folding holds it all together.

The real fun comes in decorating the front of the little pouch. I just stamped the pumpkin on mango melody cardstock, the stem on early espress, and the leaf on granny apple green (same color as the pocket). To finish it off you just cut a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock to stamp a little greeting on it. Attach both the pumpkin and the greeting using (my favorite) dimensionals.
