Smile, it's Fall

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are having a fabulous Friday. I'll be honest, mine isn't so fab since I am not feeling well. You know it's bad when you come home from school and take a nap, a four hour nap! Hopefully that's just what I needed and I'm on the upswing now. I think it's sinus related.

However, it is Friday and that means fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. Good thing my project was already made because who knows what it would look like if I had to create today.  (HAHA)

The theme today is a fall card. My card is "fallish." It's a bit untraditional, guess that is who I am right now being my last card was a little untraditional as well.  I love the ferns that come with the new daisy set, Daisy Lane.

I stamped the ferns in two different colors, pear pizzazz and garden green before cutting them out. Again, my color inspiration came from some designer series paper Garden Lane. Be sure to use your resources in that catalog to help you make beautiful looking projects.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more fall inspiration. Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.

Welcome Fall Y'all Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's a great night to share some fabulous fall creations with you. It's time for a blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen. This month is all about welcoming fall y'all. I love the fall season for all things fall: leaves turning colors, pumpkins, hayrides, cornstalks, crisp weather, apples (not apple cider, though) and so many other things. However, I never really get super excited about fall coming because I know what is coming WINTER!!!!! And I will say, I do not love all things that come with winter because it lasts too long here in Northeast Pennsylvania. Once that snow starts it likes to stick around until March, so I will hold off as long as possible. Know what I mean?

I used a nontraditional fall look for my card. I didn't use a ton of orange, reds, browns and greens on my card. I went with a more elegant, subtle look by using more neutral colors and just a little bit of the pretty peacock. I know pumpkins are overwhelmingly orange but I have to say, "I love white pumpkins!" I actually have several around my house that I use to decorate with every year. You know me, I like to be a little different if I can.

Honestly, the paper was my inspiration to stick with a white pumpkin on this card. See those few white ones? I love how Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper can help guide my projects and I know I will love the finished look thanks to the both the designer and colors in the paper.

Don't forget to keep hopping through each of the blogs below. I'm positive you will find more great fall inspiration. Thank you for stopping to visit. I appreciate the love and support from you.

Happy Fall Y'All Blog Hop

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's October 14th and that means another great blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen group. This month the theme is Happy Fall Y'All. I love the fall. Cool, crisp days. Leaves changing colors. Pumpkins, apples and cider donuts. I mean really, what's not to love? Oh wait, there is one thing that I don't love. Any guesses? Okay, I won't keep you in suspense. The one thing that I don't love about fall is the fact that the next season is winter and it sneaks up on us so quickly but decides to hang around for far too long here in Northeast Pennsylvania.

For my card, I made a tree using the Seasonal Layers framelits. The branch and the leaves both are in that set. So if you don't have a "fall" seasonal set, you can still make this card. I know a lot of you already have the framelits.

I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set to stamp "veins"  on the leaves using the leaf stamp that is in that set. No, it's not a perfect match, but leaves aren't perfect anyway. I love how these turned out.

For the background, I "stamped" a clear block in each of the three colors randomly all over watercolor paper. Once they were stamped, I spritzed them with water and let the magic take over.

Of course, a few of the leaves are attached using dimensionals. You already knew that though, right?

This card is good to let someone know you appreciate them.

Keep hopping through the rest of the blogs. You will be inspired.

Thanks for stopping by.
