Happy Mail

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

I know, I have inundated you with a lot of hearts lately, but this is probably the last one this year. I made these adorable little mailboxes for my class and a few of my friends. I loved making them because the supplies were minimal, effort was minimal, but the finished project was a wow. My kiddos at school were gushing over them. They were so excited to have their own mini mailbox. Several of them said they are going to ask to mount them outside their bedrooms so they can get notes. Not so sure how the parents are going to feel about that.

The neat thing is that you can make each one look a little different than the others by switching up the sides of the designer paper you choose. I also wrote their names on the hearts on front door, just took a picture before that step to preserve their privacy.

Look how different each one of them are, yet they all look awesome together.

By the way, these adorable little, plain white mailboxes have been hoarded in my stamp room for years. Not sure what I was waiting for, but this year I said, "Enough is enough. I'm going to use them." Please tell me you have hoarded items in your stash too.

February is All About Love

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you celebrated sweetly with your loved ones. Remember it's for all your loves, not just a significant other. Since February is all about love and our blog hop with the Stampers Dozen Group falls on Valentine's day we just couldn't help ourselves. We had to share projects that are promoting the love.

If you saw my earlier post today with the Sisters in Stamping, you saw a very easy card to create. Well, this card is no different because it is just as simple. I used the From My Heart Bundle to create the card. I let the designer series paper do most of the work for me because it is beautiful. This paper is a specialty designer series paper, so those little hearts you see on the background are metallic and raised. The heart the greeting is on is also metallic. The awesome thing about that heart is that the paper consists of rows of hearts that match the heart punches perfectly. I love the easy coordination of products. Stampin' Up! makes crafting so easy by taking so much of the guess-work out of creating.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to keep hopping. All of the links are below.

Stamping From the Heart

 Hello stamping friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping and Happy Valentine's Day to you. This week we are sharing some great heart projects. So from my heart to yours, I hope you have a fantastic Valentine's Day.

This card came together so quick. I used the From My Heart Suite Bundle. Most of the card consists of designer series paper. The only stamp I used was the greeting, "From My Heart To Yours." The center heart is actually punched from the designer series paper in the bundle. The coordination of products is great in this bundle for making projects come together so seamlessly and effortlessly.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more ideas with heart.

Once again, Happy Valentine's Day. Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.

All About the Hearts

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another week with the Sisters in Stamping. This week we are all about the hearts. Today is Go Red for Women in honor of women's heart health month. This is a day near and dear to my heart because my mom died at the young age of 40 from a massive heart attack which changed my life forever.

Below is a picture of her and my fiance (now husband) just a few short weeks before she passed away. Notice she was wearing red. Her favorite color. Interesting how we celebrate women's heart health in February, the month of her birthday, in the same week as her birthday. Great way for our family to remember and honor her.

She somehow always managed to live life to the fullest no matter what was going on around her. It's been 25 years since she left us and I miss her every single day. I still have the dress she is wearing. Perhaps one day I will wear it for her.

My project for today was a class I held last week. I love, love, love the way it turned out. It's a 12x12 page that goes in a frame for a marvelous home decor piece. It looks very complicated, but in reality it was pretty easy to make. It's all about the layering, and I have a lot of layers going on.

I used the From My Heart Suite Bundle to make this and then just added in a few other things to complete it. Each little square or rectangle looks great on it's own, but the look of them all together is just fantastic. Using the suite bundle gave me everything at my fingertips and made creating this artwork so easy.

Everyone at the class loved it. I'm even going to hold a St. Patrick's Day class soon. Contact me if you are interested in that class. I even offer them to go if you can't make it in person.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more heartfelt ideas.
