A Timeless Bouquet of Flowers

Mother’s Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet -- but it's only available while supplies last. There’s no watering, no weeding — just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon, or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

As if that weren’t enough, the kit contains a “baker’s dozen”! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn’t normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you’d like to give a little “thank you” to — and introduce them to Stampin’ Up!

They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
Can you say sticky? (Don’t worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
They’re age tested. They won’t yellow or cloud up over time.
We could go on, but we’ll let you try them for yourself.

A Day for Flying Kits & 2 More Days

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Sunday to you!  Loving this Spring weather and I hope you are too. Today I'm sharing with you a card that I made for my April punch class.  I love how you can turn a butterfly punch into elephant ears.  Who would have thought?  Actually, I love being able to find inspiration from very talented people who certainly know how to think outside the box.  I would have seen the butterfly and only have seen it as a butterfly, but someone who doesn't only see things in black and white saw it as elephant ears and I was able to use their idea. For that, I'm very thankful.

Isn't he the sweetest little elephant?  Just sitting in the grass, flying his pinwheel kite.  A perfect day, I would think.  What other punches are used to make this little guy?  Respond here and all that are correct will get a little something from me. It's only 4 punches, come on take a guess.

I love the cloudy day embossing folder. It was a perfect touch for the bashful blue layer to make it look even more realistic. You will find that in the Spring Catalog (and that's ending soon, so you will want to get your cloudy day folder soon).

Don't forget there are 2 days left to my sale. Check out yesterday's post for complete details.

This sale is from today, Saturday, April 27 through Monday, April 29, 2013 so don't delay, get your order together today.  As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

And now for the card or two? Yes, I'm really showing you two cards here today. But really they are the same colors, same layout, the only thing different is the stamps used. Just wanted to show you that you can use "copy" card layouts that you like using stamps you have.  I actually created the second one first during Sale-a-bration. I loved the Feeling Sentimental set (my favorites were the bike and the phone booth from that set) but I quickly came up with the "substation" for the the first card because I really liked the look of that first card so much and I needed to make some swaps for the regional seminar I went to in Baltimore a few weeks ago.

What do you think?  I love the simplicity of this layout. The extra layers really add so much to a card with minimal stamping.  Also, sponging the edges of the vanilla pieces totally brings it all together.

Isn't it fun using different stamps on the same layout and getting totally different looking cards?  Why would you want to re-create the wheel, especially if you are short on time or even short on creativity.

Hope you liked the cards.  And don't forget the sale runs through Monday, so check out those retired lists, compare them to your wish lists and get your order in.

Have a fabulous Saturday!

Start Scrapping

Hello Stamping Friends,

So glad you came back today.  It is time for another Fabulous Friday posting with the Sisters in Stamping.  This week our challenge is scrapbook pages.  Time to preserve those memories for future generations, don't just keep your photos in a box or stored on a memory card. Create beautiful pages to put in books for everyone to enjoy your memories.

This is a two page 8x8 spread using the simply scrappin' kit from the Spring catalog. It coordinates beautifully with the 8x8 album that is also in the Spring catalog.  I offered this as a class in April and will be running another class for it in May (watch for the calendar in the next few days).

The beauty of the Simply Scrappin' kits is that almost everything you need to create beautiful pages is all together in one place. The only thing that you really need to add would be adhesive.  For this class I added some cardstock as well because we were making 20 pages to put in the scrapbook.

Look how "put together" these pages are.  And I only had to design them using the contents of the kit. So quick, so easy, and so beautiful when finished.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see more great scrapbook pages.
