Time to Sale-a-brate

Another Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping is before us, but this is a special one. It's the kick-off to Sale-a-bration. The most wonderful time of the year. Well, with Stampin' Up! anyway. With every order of $50 or more you can select from a variety of stamp sets, paper and accessories to add on to your order for FREE.

There are two levels of items you can choose from, the $50 and the $100. For this card, I used a bundle from the $100 Level 2.  It is called Softly Sophisticated and includes the stamp set and an embossing folder. (You may need to zoom in on my card to see the folder on the cardstock.)  I also used the Flight and Airy designer series paper which is a Level 1 Sale-a-bration item for the background paper.

I also used the postage dies from the mini catalog to stamp my greeting and image on. The designer series paper was cut down to be the next layer on the base and then I cut it in half on a diagonal.

To jazz up the card a bit, I used some rhinestones on the centers of the flowers to bring a little extra pizzazz to the finished card.

Feeling inspired and ready to earn some FREE goodies? Then contact me now to get those orders placed so you can start creating.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

BEST. DAY. EVER.

Hello Stamping Friends,

I hope you are staying warm. These past few days have been brutally cold. I had a wonderful birthday and want to thank all of you that sent birthday wishes. It was a big year for me and I'm so glad to celebrate another year. This week's Sister in Stamping card pretty much sums up my feelings on this year's much anticipated birthday. BEST. DAY. EVER.

This stamp set is one of this year's Sale a bration  options. That's right you can get it FREE with any $50 order (prior to shipping and tax). Nothing beats FREE and I know you all love this great, highly anticipated sale each and every year. If you don't have your workshop date booked, hurry to get the date you want set aside. Dates book quickly.

This card is pretty simple to put together. It's just a LOT of layers and that's what makes the finished card look so awesome. I stamped the words with the Momento Black ink and then used the wisteria wonder blendabilities to color over them. Simple, right?

I love, love, love the polka  dot stamp in the set. It's so fun and will be great to use on so many cards. You know how I love my polka dots.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Sale a bration brochure to see more of the great offerings this  year.  Also, head over to Sisters in Stamping to see more great samples using some other Sale a bration items.

Only 3 Days Left for Sale-a-bration

Hello Stamping Friends,

Over the next few days I'm going to share with you some cards and projects that use Sale-a-bration products. Don't forget there is only three days left to get your order in for your FREE Sale-a-bration items, don't let the sale of the year pass you by.  Also, I'm at the YMCA in Dunmore today from 10 am - 3pm for the Moms Club's Annual Craft Show so stop by and see me. No fee to come in.

I love the look of this card. It uses the Petal Parade stamp set (which, btw, you can get it in wood mount or clear mount, the choice is yours) and several of this year's in-colors.  It's just basic all over stamping, so it's super quick and easy and definitely duplicable. I also used the Peachy Keen stamp set for the greeting on this card. You can easily substitute any other greeting you may already have on hand as well.

The fun part of this card is tat the center of each of the Strawberry slush flowers is stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and punched out using the 7/8" scallop circle punch and attached to the center using a dimensional.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Petal Parade & Peachy Keen
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar
Paper: Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock
Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals, 7/8" Scallop Circle punch

Don't forget only three days left to get the Petal Parade stamp set before it's gone. You can select it as your FREE item with any $50 order (before shipping and tax).

Contact me today or visit my online store to place your order. If you place an order I will be sending you a thank you card stamped by me.

Ready for Spring

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I have officially decided that I am ready for Spring. That is after that white stuff called snow began to fall again here in Northeast Pennsylvania.  I am done with it, it's time for warm weather, birds singing, new leaves growing on trees, pretty flowers blooming and butterflies flying.  Doesn't it sound wonderful to you?  Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to settle for some very pretty and colorful paper butterflies for today.

This was a card I made for a workshop a couple of week's ago. Everyone that attended that fun party at Maria's also got to make their own butterfly card and take it home with them.  And do you know what, I love how each of the cards turned out a little different even though everyone used the same supplies. It's one of the things I look forward to at workshops (aka parties). I didn't take pictures of everyone's but trust me they were all beautiful.

It's a really quick card to put together and uses just a few supplies.  Some designer paper, a punch, a stamp and ink, some markers and rhinestones. See, I told you it wasn't too many things.

Here's a close up of some of the butterflies so you can see the detail up close.  I added some antenna to each butterfly using the appropriate colored marker to match the butterflies.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Perfect Pairs
Ink: Wisteria Wonder Classic Pad, 2011-2013 In Color Stampin Write Markers
Paper: Whisper White Cardstock & 2011-2013 In Color Paper Stack Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch, Basic Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Hey Don't forget Sale-a-bration ends this coming Friday (March 22). So hurry and place your order now so you can get your FREE stamps too.

Pretty Wreath

Hello Stamping Friends,

So how's your week going so far? Here, it's going pretty well. Definitely in the thick of Sale-a-bration here and I'm loving every workshop and class happening.  I have just a couple dates open if you still want to get a workshop in during Sale-a-bration. I also have dates open in April if you want to host a fun girls night out after Easter. We can do some great Spring projects. Contact me and let me know which date you want.

Today's card is a pretty quick card to put together but it is soooooo impressive. Honestly, the picture doesn't do it justice. In real life, it's just so pretty. I just love, love, love the 5/8" flower trim. This time I used one of the largest shaker frames to attach the flowers. The shaker frames are a perfect circle so you can make a pretty wreath without any effort. You all know that I love quick and simple type cards and projects.  And this one certainly fits the bill.

The vine embossing folder from Sale-a-bration is a perfect accent for the flower wreath. I mean, leaves and flowers go together like peanut butter and jelly, right?  And then any one of the little stamps from Teeny Tiny wishes would work to make this card fit any occasion you have coming up.

Stamping Supplies Used:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Certainly Celery
Paper: Certainly Celery and Very Vanilla Cardstock
Accessories: Vine Street Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Shaker Frames, 5/8" Flower Trim, Certainly Celery & Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon
