Scraps and More Scraps

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are enjoying the summer weather and getting outside as much as possible. This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing with you projects made with scraps. I think it's safe to save we all have a lot of little pieces of cardstock and designer series paper around.

Well, now you will have some ideas to create using those scraps up. I know I have a ton of small pieces for the ice cream designer paper. I hope you aren't sick of seeing cards with it. It is my absolute favorite paper in the January - June Mini Catalog. It will be gone soon, so hurry and get it before it's gone.

This is a little different than past cards I've made because it has a softer look than the bold colors I have been using to make cards. The Biggest Wish set is so awesome for the front of cards. Nice, big greetings that you can mix and match the fonts to give it different looks.

Don't forget to use those scraps up. Don't throw them away. They can be used to make beautiful cards.  Remember to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog for more ideas to use those scraps.

Need Masculine Card Ideas?

Hello Stamping Friends,

Do you need some masculine card ideas? I am always looking for more great masculine cards. This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing just that with you. With Father's Day around the corner, just maybe you will find the card you want to  make.

I used the awesome set from the mini catalog that carried over into the new annual catalog that focuses on bowties and ties. If that doesn't say masculine, I don't know what you want. (LOL)

I decided to make this a color block type card by cutting the colored cardstock into three different sized and then stamping the greeting, bowties, and ties on white cardstock that would layer on top of the colored cardstock.

I think the colors are perfect for a masculine card too: night of navy, shaded spruce, and daffodil delight. Reminds me of some great plaid.

So notice, this card doesn't say "Happy Father's Day" which means you can use it for any other occasion too. I love when that works in my favor.

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Focus on Tools

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today with the Stampers Dozen we are sharing with you some great project with a focus on stamping tools. There are so many tools you can use to make your stamping easier and smoother.

I used the Stamparatus to help me line up the greetings and stitches on my card. If you do it the right way once, you will have them all done the right way. That's what makes the stamparatus so awesome. Set it once and the rest will be the same.

This is a bright, cheerful, and fun card to send to someone just to say hello. I know I would love to receive this in the mail and I think I know many others that would be delighted to open their mailboxes to see this happy mail.

This card comes together pretty easily using the stamparatus. Stamp in the daffodil delight, clean, stamp in melon mambo, clean, stamp in gorgeous grape, clean and finally stamp in bermuda bay. Just move the plate on your stamparatus (of if you'd rather, you can simply move your paper up or down. Either way, you will get great results).
