Stampers Dozen Blog Hop - Anything GOes

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time for another great blog hop with the Stampers Dozen group. This month we are using an Anything Goes theme which means we can share with you anything we have made.

I used some great Sale-a-bration items to make a thank you card. The stamp set and the designer paper are yours for FREE with a $100 order (before shipping and tax). The rose is such a pretty stamp and so much more beautiful when you see it in person.

We actually used it on my son's wedding invitation. I'll share that after the wedding which is in September.

Don't forget to keep hopping using the links below. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Sisters in Stamping Color Challenge

Hello stamping friends,

This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing cards made using a color challenge: Tahitian Tide, Pale Papaya, and Polished Pink.

Together these colors are bright and cheerful. And will surely put a smile on the face of anyone you give it to.

I made a quick little hello card featuring an envelope full of flowers. Sending cards just to let someone know they are thought of means so much to the recipient. And this card will do just that.

I embossed the background to give it some subtle texture. And the ribbon is a perfect way to blend the two different colors together. The little black matte dot is a perfect finishing touch to the flower.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more inspiration using this color combo.

Also, Sale-a-bration is still happening this month. Free product with every $50 in orders. Place your order today and you will receive a free gift from me too.

No Outfit is Complete without Accessories

Hello Stamping Friends,

Here with a Sisters in Stamping Sunday Fun Day post (a little late, oops!) This week it was all about the accessories. We know no outfit is ever complete without accessories. It all about accessorizing. At least that's what I think anyway. And making cards is no different if you ask me. (I know, no one was asking me!)

I made a thank you card because we can always use more of these since we should be grateful for so many things in life. The sunflower stamps and dies should also be used with different colors, not just the traditional yellow and brown. I love it in the two different pinks.

For accessories, I added some ribbon and enamel dots to the center of the flower. You can even consider the dies as accessories because they really make your finished card so much more spectacular than plain stamping on cardstock. I stamped the flower and leaves then cut them out and the detail top layer of the dies is a perfect accent to add dimension and detail. Just what you want an accessory to do.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more accessory ideas.

Also, we are still Sale-a-brating this month. You can still earn FREE product with every $50 order. Click on my name below to go to my website to place that order. All orders will receive an additional free gift from me.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Crafty Collaborations Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Throwback Thursday

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm so excited to be a part of today's blog hop with Crafty Collaborations. It's the Stampin' Dreams Throwback Thursday Blog hop. We are to recreate something we made in the past. I scrolled through my blog and picked the post from 10 years ago today. See it HERE

Boy was it fun to scroll through the past cards and projects I made. It definitely wanted me to remake some of them with current products. Why reinvent the wheel, right? If you have something you like and are proud of just change the colors and the stamps and you will have a new project.

So, above is the card from ten years ago. It's a simple card to make, but I absolutely love the finished look. Of course, it has polka dots, so that definitely helps. (LOL)

And now we have the above card using new products. The polka dots are larger, but that's okay. The blue cardstock is a little different shade. The embossing folder is different. The greeting is different, as well as the round tab. But overall, it looks pretty similar and I'm just as happy with this card as I was the one ten years ago. What do you think?

Why don't you take a look back at some cards you made in the past and recreate them using products you have on hand today? It's a fun challenge.
