Hello Stamping Friends,
Hope all is well. This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are sharing with you some cards made using a 6x6 one sheet wonder template. I had so much fun creating the cards and I love how they turned out. Using the template definitely makes creating a lot easier because your layouts are already started for you.
Here are the four cards you can make from using one 6x6 sheet of designer paper. I used the Pansy Petal Designer Series paper that is actually 12x12, but I cut one 6x6 piece to make these cards. So with that being said, you can actually make 16 cards using one sheet of a full 12x12 sheet of paper. That's pretty awesome if you ask me.
I honestly can't decide which one I like the best. Which one is your favorite of the four? Below you will find the template that Sister in Stamping, Debbie Naylor made for us to use as our guide. If you wanted to split the A pieces you can even make 5 cards. Also, as you will see with my cards, you can get completely different looks because Stampin' Up! has double sided designer series paper. I used one side on two cards and then the other side on the remaining two cards. This gives us even more versatility.
The card below uses both A pieces. I also cut one pansy and a few leaves from another sheet of designer paper in the pack to use as an accent on this card. For the greeting, I used the in-color markers to just ink up the Hello instead of the full greeting, "a happy Hello to you." And I stamped it twice. What's better than one hello? Two hello's. LOL
The next card used the D cut piece of paper. I thought this was going to be the most challenging one for me since I wasn't using a stamp set that had any images and only greetings, but I must say, I think I love it. I decided to use an embossing folder and it does the trick of pulling it together perfectly.
The card below uses the B piece of paper. Again, I was challenged because I didn't choose a set that had any images to stamp with. However, I got a little creative and used the in-color markers again to give my greeting a little more variety and colored the words in three different colors that coordinated with the designer paper. I love the ribbon on this card and feel like it gave the card the perfect finished look. I just "ruffled" the ribbon after using some tear n tape along the seam of where the designer paper ended.
This card uses the C piece of paper. I also used the in color markers on the greeting for this card. It changes the look of the finished card so much. To fill in the white space I was left after stamping the greeting, I added a nice twist of ribbon and attached it with a brad. I'm so excited that we have brads again. I've been using them up.
So there you have it. Four cards from one 6x6 sheet of designer paper. Are you inspired? I think I will be offering this as a class soon, so keep watch for it.
