Fun Folds with the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm back again today. You're so lucky to get a two for one today. Sisters in Stamping and the Stampers Dozen both in the same day. The theme with the Stampers Dozen this month was a fun-fold card. I always enjoy making a fun-fold card because they are sometimes challenging and are always just what they say - fun!

Isn't this a fun card just looking at it like this? Who doesn't love time with their friends just hanging out and catching up? That's exactly what I think of when I see this set.

But here comes the real fun- the fun-fold. Laying flat it just looks like a nice, put-together card. However, stand it up and see the fun unfold. (Cheesy pun totally intended)

So your base is a regular sized card base (8 1/2" x 5 1/2") Then the inside piece (white) is 5 1/4" by 8" that is folded in half and then the one side is folded in half to make a z-type card.

This center piece is the rectangle cut out of the center of the base (I attached the designer paper before cutting it out). You attach some adhesive on the right side of layer to attach to the z fold of the white layer. I find the easiest way to make sure you get it in the right place is to close the front of the card and then place the missing piece in just like a puzzle.

Here is it is all opened up. It really isn't that difficult to make at all, but it looks so much more impressive.

For the girls dresses, I stamped on the designer series paper and cut it out. Then I colored their hair, arms, legs, and faces with Stampin' Blends.  So much fun and I absolutely love how this card turned out.

I hope you are inspired. Don't forget to keep hopping and see more great fun-fold ideas.
