Snowy White Thoughtful Branches

Hello Stamping Friends,

Just dropping by quickly today to share this snow white Thoughtful Branches card with you. Time is running out quickly to get this great bundle. Yep, that's right, August 31st is the last day to get this limited time bundle.  Once I started playing with this set and thinlits, I realized the options for creativity are limitless. Honestly, there is SOOOOOO much that you can do with this set. Over the next few days I will share with you even more great cards that are made using this bundle. Some days there will even be two cards so be sure to come back.

This card is a snowy winter scene that is made magical because it's a shaker card. Shaker cards are so fun to make and definitely just as much fun for the person receiving it. The excitement just won't be contained.

I think this card can be used for a few different occasions and that's why I didn't bother stamping a greeting on it. It can be used for Christmas (obviously), a birthday card, a thank you card, thinking of you card and even a sympathy card for someone who loses a loved one during the winter months.

From my understanding it is said that a cardinal is a sign from your loved one that they are okay and are with you. I know it's not necessarily the perfect cardinal because it's missing the top feathers but for me it was good enough and the meaning is still there.

Here's the fun shaker part all shook up. Some glitter and sequins will defintely make this card glisten. Below you will find the flyer for the bundle showing all of the pieces in both the stamp set and the thinlits. Remember, time is running out, act quickly before this bundle is gone.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope this shaker card made you smile. See you again soon.

It's All About the Dogs Today

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy National Dog Day. Yep, if you didn't know August 26th is the day that's all about the dogs. In honor of the special day, the theme at Sisters in Stamping is dogs. I have to admit, I was in a panic because I don't have any dog stamps and was ready to bow out of today's post when I got the brilliant idea that I have a dog and can use some of her pictures to make a scrapbook page.

Yep, you heard that right, a scrapbook page. I know, you haven't seen a page on this blog in a long time. I honestly don't know when the last time I made a page was. It's been that long. It actually felt really good to make a page and get some pictures off the pile and onto a page. Earlier this year, my oldest son, Noah, actually commented that I don't scrapbook anymore and he really liked it. Guess it's time to get back to it.

These pictures were taken a few years ago at my nephew's circus themed birthday party. My sister in law set up a great photo booth with circus type props to get pictures taken. Guess it's the photographer in her coming out. (BTW, I love that the in-law's are photographers and I am able to get great pictures without too much worry, thanks Danielle and Oak) Isn't Sasha just the cutest and well-behaved pup to sit there and get a nice picture? She was also a good sport with Jonah putting the giant sunglasses on her face. She didn't move or try to take them off.

Just a close-up of a few elements on the page. The Badges & Banners stamp set and coordinating punch was perfect for the title of this page (Sasha's name) I stamped the striped badge, punched it out and then stamped the letter in black right on top of it. Then for some added dimension, I punched out a black badge and offset it behind the striped badge.

For this one, I stamped the best friend badge, punched it out and backed it with a designer paper badge and a white badge. The circle NO. 1 was stamped on white cardstock and punched out. I just cut strips of real red cardstock to make it match the background in the pictures.

For more dog inspired projects head over to Sisters in Stamping. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget Friday, September 9th is the Holiday Catalog Bingo. You're not going to want to miss it. Let me know that you are coming soon.

Cupcakes and Sprinkles, Some Things I Love

Hello Stamping Friends,

If you know me at all, you know I love to bake cupcakes. It's kind of funny, I have friends that send pins from Pinterest to me as little hints of the types of cupcakes they may want me to make. Subtle hints, right? LOL

So it goes without saying that any stamp set that has a cupcake in it, I just NEED to have it. Of course, the Sprinkles of Life set was a no brainer last year because it was the Ronald McDonald House Charities set and it had a cupcake. Both reasons were good enough for me to order it right away.

This is a little tag (that could easily turn into a bookmark) that I made to go onto a cello bag full of cupcake goodies to make a birthday perfect (cupcake liners, sprinkles, candles, balloons). It's a fun way to make a gift for someone to let them know you are thinking about them without spending a ton of money.

Some Happy Mail

Hello Stamping Friends,

Good Monday morning to you. It's much cooler here in Northeast PA than what it has been. It feels like a fall morning rather than summer. I actually went around the house shutting some windows. That just means I need to soak up the warmth as it comes because I know that this cooler weather will be here before I blink and then it will get even colder. I've heard nasty rumors that this winter will be nasty. It's predicted to be cold and snowy. Yuck!!!!

Anyway, let's not dwell on what's to come and live for today. I wanted to share with you how great of a company Stampin' Up! is. I recently reached a big milestone with the company. I reached $400,000 in sales (much thanks to each of you for helping me get there). About 2 weeks after I reached that acheivement, I got a call from the home office congratulating me on this great accomplishment. I was honored that they took the time out to give me a call and recognize my achievement. It got only better from there because I received some happy mail, a card, from the President/COO of the company, Rich Jutkins a while after the call. Which was an even bigger surprise. Here's the card I received and Rich's personal note to me.

Some of the items on the card are now retired but I still wanted to share with you. If you like the layout of the card you can easily adapt it to the items you have on hand. Wait a minute, that's actually true for any card that you see. You never have to have all the same exact items, you can adapt it to suit your needs, abilities and desires. That's what's so great about stamping.

And here's the personal message from Rich. Thank you Rich and all of Stampin' Up! for supporting your demonstrators through it all. We know you have our best interests at heart at all times. I love being a part of the Stampin' Up! family. It's been 15 years and I know it will be another 15 years at a minimum. And just think I wanted on this great ride because I JUST wanted a discount on the products I wanted. I then stretched my wings and started doing workshops (aka parties) and then added classes in my home and look at me now. I love that I can work hard to earn free trips or work a little less because my family needs me. And I have done both extremes. That's the beauty of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. Want to chat more about this great opportunity, just let me know. I'd be happy to share my passion with you.

A Little Sneak Peek of What's Coming Very Soon.

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's a gorgeous Friday out there today. I hope you get to enjoy the sunshine doing whatever you love. Here on the mountain there's even a nice little breeze while the sun is shining bright. I'm soaking up each moment because I know what's right around the corner: snow and freezing temps. Both of which I am NOT ready for.

This week at Sisters in Stamping we are giving you a little sneak peek of what's coming very soon in the Holiday Catalog. Let me tell you, the holiday catalog is jammed packed with great new stamps and accessories for this crafting season. It's going to be difficult to make a small wishlist with what's coming. I have already ordered a good amount and there's still some things that I want that I didn't order. Doesn't that spell trouble?

I've made a few cards already using the Holiday catalog items for swaps that I joined. Can't wait to see what the other demonstrators create using these great products. Today, I decided to share with you a Halloween card, since that is the first of the holidays that are coming up.

This fun card was made using the Sweet Home bundle (stamp set and thinlits). The home in the thinlits actually makes a cute little box. I just used the front portion of the box to make the house for my card. The coordinating washi tape and glitter paper just makes this card that much more fun.

I can foresee little houses for Christmas and congratulations on your new house in my future.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see more sneak peeks.
