Cupcakes and Sprinkles, Some Things I Love

Hello Stamping Friends,

If you know me at all, you know I love to bake cupcakes. It's kind of funny, I have friends that send pins from Pinterest to me as little hints of the types of cupcakes they may want me to make. Subtle hints, right? LOL

So it goes without saying that any stamp set that has a cupcake in it, I just NEED to have it. Of course, the Sprinkles of Life set was a no brainer last year because it was the Ronald McDonald House Charities set and it had a cupcake. Both reasons were good enough for me to order it right away.

This is a little tag (that could easily turn into a bookmark) that I made to go onto a cello bag full of cupcake goodies to make a birthday perfect (cupcake liners, sprinkles, candles, balloons). It's a fun way to make a gift for someone to let them know you are thinking about them without spending a ton of money.

You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Friday to you. It's a gorgeous day here in NEPA, sun is shining, it's warm, windows are open and the birds are chirping. It also means it Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. I love this week's theme: You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for Ice Cream. Isn't it great?  Perfect for summer because who doesn't love going for some ice cream? The real question is do you call the things that go on ice cream, jimmies or sprinkles? We call them sprinkles here.

And they must be sprinkles because the stamp set I used is called Sprinkles of Life. See, told you. LOL  It's a fun set that you can make cupcakes, ice cream cones, clouds, trees and so much more with. The best part is that it also has a coordinating punch that will make your life even easier when using it to create great cards and projects. Do you have it yet? If not, what are you waiting for?

This is a pretty easy card to make. A couple layers of cardstock, one ink pad, a punch, some scraps of cardstock, and two stamp sets.

I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set behind my cone to look like splatters of ice cream that dripped off the cone.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more great ideas for ice cream.

Don't forget Bonus Days is underway. For every $50 (before shipping and tax) that you order you will get a coupon in your email for $5 off an order in August. Be sure to hold onto that email because we can't access your coupon code any other way.

Thanks for stopping by. Come again real soon.

Out with the Old and In with the New.

Hello Stamping Friends,

I know it's been awhile since I have posted on a regular basis but I am hoping with school coming to a close that I will be able to do more posting and sharing with you. It's been a crazy busy year here at the Yurkanin household, a baby shower for my daughther, of course, the new baby, a son graduating high school and a son that is very active in travel soccer makes a busy, buys house. Never mind the mom that's been working almost everyday between school and workshops. With that said, I wouldn't change any of that. It's been great. I still have to finish graduation and a party but we will get it all done.

This time of year also brings along with all that some great excitement in the Stampin' Up! world. It is almost time for the new catalog to make it's debut. It's only a few short days away. This week with the Sisters in Stamping we are giving you a sneak peek into what is coming in the new catalog. Don't you love the little glimpses of what's to come? I know I do.

I used the new set called Sprinkles for Life. It is this year's Ronald McDonald House set. I love it, the top of the ice cream can be a cloud, ice cream or icing for a cupcake. How awesome is that? I love when sets are versatile and can be used for a variety of occasions.

For this card, I used several of the new in colors to make a "tie dye" type background. I had a lot of fun making it and was pleasantly surprised when my background surpassed my expectations. I know many times things I envision in my head, don't always work out on paper, but this time I was pleasantly surprised.

The best thing about this set is that the set has a coordinating punch. I know we all want punches that match the stamps so we don't have to cut anything out by hand.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more sneak peek ideas.
