Today's the Final Day for Many Great Deals!
Friday, November 27, 2009
Happy Black Friday to all of you. Don't forget there's some great specials on my website for some awesome presents up to 50% off.
This week over at Sisters in Stamping we were to use a Simply Scrappin' Kit. So I decided this explosion photo box was the perfect thing to show you. It is completely made from half of a Simply Scrappin' Kit. So from one kit you can make 2 boxes. One for a gift and one for you to keep.
I've done this class a few times and people love it every time. I will be offering this class again after the new year so be watching my class schedule for all the specifics.
Remember to stop over at the Sisters blog to see what the other sisters created this week.
The great sale ends Monday so be sure to place your order today. Why would you want to miss out on products up to 50% off? I know I'll be placing my own order.

The above photo is of the box closed. So imagine the recipient's surprise when they open it and they see all the pictures waiting for them.
This is the box with the lid off. See the three layers of boxes inside of it. There is room for at least 20 pictures. These make great gifts for teachers, grandparents, friends, aunts, uncles, or anyone else you want to give a unique gift to.

Fabulous Friday Candy
I don't understand how it could be Friday again. Time is simply slipping away from me. Hopefully in a few weeks, I will have some more of it. My student teaching is going well but it is coming to a quick close. After Thanksgiving break, I will only have 9 more days in the classroom. Although, I'm really looking forward to the break and need the time to prepare for Jonah's birthday and Christmas I'm really going to miss being there with all the students. Sometimes they drive me crazy but I really do love them. Crazy isn't it? I want my cake and eat it too.
Anyway, it is time for another Fabulous Friday posting over at Sisters in Stamping and this week we were to use the stamp set Sweet Season which we all received at convention this past August. I must admit I felt challenged to use it at first but I love what I came up with. What do you think?
I covered a large candy bar with the Merry Moments designer series paper. I then tied the whole bar up with Mistletoe Ribbon originals found in the Holiday mini catalog (available until January 4). I stamped the saying from Sweet Season in Chocolate chip ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I also "aged" the paper using the Creamy Caramel pad directly on the cardstock. Attached it to a real red piece of cardstock and added it to the candy bar with what else but my favorite thing, some dimensionals.
I decided it was too blah at this point and wanted to add a gingerbread but Stampin' Up! doesn't currently have one. Uh-oh, what was I going to do? Look below to see what I came up with.
I used the flower and the matching outline stamp and the little circles stamp from the stamp set It's a Beautiful Thing to make my gingerbread. I attached the gingerbread to the candy bar using dimensionals but this time I doubled up on them. I must admit, I'm pretty happy with my final result.

Where does the time go?
Can't believe it's Friday again. Where does the time go? It seems like I just wake up and it's time to go to bed again. Non-stop. It sure is making me tired though.
This week's Fabulous Friday challenge was to use the tree trimmings set.
Be sure to check out the other sisters creation using this set over at Sisters In Stamping.
I decided to stamp on tiles that you find in any home improvement store. They are inexpensive and make great gifts for the Holidays. In order to stamp on coasters you will need Stampin' Up!'s Craft Ink pads. I used Basic Black, So Saffron, Rose Red, Night of Navy and Always Artichoke on these tiles.
I used the En Francais background stamp first and stamped it in So Saffron on the tile. It makes a nice background for tiles, in my humble opinion anyway. After stamping them I baked the tiles on an old cookie sheet for 15 minutes on 300 degrees. Let them cool off before preceding on to anything else.
After they were cool, I then stamped the string in Basic Black. I stamped each of the three ornaments in the set in separate colors while attaching it to the string already attached. After this step, you will need to bake again (same as above).
Once they are baked and cooled off, place furniture coasters (those little felt circles) on the bottom of each one. You can even spray an acrylic sealer (matte or glossy) on the coasters to be sure nothing damages them. Make a set of 4, tie them up with any of Stampin' Up!'s awesome ribbons and you have a great gift for anyone on your list.

The Best UPS man ever.
We all love our Men in Brown because they always bring us all our Stampin' Up! goodies. But this man in brown is the light of my life.
Isn't he just adorable. We got a catalog in the mail for Halloween costumes. I went through it while sitting on the couch with my husband. When I saw this I said, "Don, look at this." He told me, "Don't you dare do that to him." Well about a half hour later Jonah comes in and picks up the catalog. Browses through and STOPS on the page with the UPS costume. He said, "Mommy, that's what I want to be for Halloween." Don just looked at me and said, "You have hime brainwashed."
So lo and behold, Jonah was a UPS man that delivered Stampin' Up! boxes for Halloween. I loved it. Honestly so did everyone else and Daddy even warmed up to it. I would say about 80% of the houses we went to commented on the UPS man and we had 8 kids in our group.
Jonah even had me cut a hole in the side of the box so his candy could be put inside when he got it.
So, isn't this man in brown the best one yet?? (I'm not biased in anyway.)

Fabulous Friday Again.
It's Friday again. The weeks are just flying by. Before you know it, Christmas will be here. This week over at the Sisters in Stamping Blog we were challenged to use the Serene Snowflake set. It has quickly become one of my favorite sets.
Have a great day.
I used some of my favorite colors for snowflake cards, almost amethyst, lavendar lace, and bashful blue. I stamped the white cardstock and then cut it into panels. Layered those panels on bashful blue or almost amethyst cardstock and layered those onto lavendar lace cardstock. I stamped the second largest snowflake from the set in lavendar lace on a square piece of cardstock to make it diamond shaped. Added a rhinestone brad for some bling and then layered that onto some cardstock and of course I attached it to my card using my favorite things: dimensionals.
Remember to check out the blog (link is above) for other ideas using this set.
Have a great day.
