Vacation Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

What are your vacation plans for this summer? Did you go yet? Was it all you expected and more? One of my favorite vacation places is the beach, especially if it's a tropical beach.  I'm joining a great vacation blog hop today and thought this card is perfect to give you the tropical feel.

Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana are the perfect tropical vacation color combo in my opinion. I also thought the In Symmetry stamp set worked for this card idea that was in my head. (Love when that works out)

I stamped on one inch strips of cardstock in my color combo using different stamps on each one. I made this one a thank you card because I was thinking it would be good for someone that house-sat or dog-sat. But change the greeting to anything you want. It's great card for so many different occasions.

Notice the ribbon? I wanted pool party ribbon, but we don't have any. So, I grabbed the white ribbon from Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack and the Coastal Cabana pad to get what I wanted. I used a piece of a Stampin' sponge to hold the ribbon on the pad before pulling it through. If you want it darker you can run it through again.

Then I stamped on one strip for the inside of the card to keep the look together. Need to dress up the inside a little bit. You don't want to inside to feel neglected, do you?

Sweet Summertime Blog Hop with Stampers Dozen

Hello Stamping Friends,
It's another month and another blog hop with the Stampers Dozen group. This month we are celebrating summer with a sweet summertime fun blog hop. I hope you are enjoying some great summertime fun activities with your friends and family. We have been super busy here in the Yurkanin house. College tours and soccer camps, hanging with family from out of town, local fireman's picnics, and so much more.

Nothing says summertime to me like a good bike ride with a friend. Reminds me of a much simpler time in life: being a child without a care in the world, but when I could get outside, ride my bike, and hang out with my friends and cousins.  I really needed to have this set as soon as I saw it in the new catalog. Isn't it a great set?

I used the words in the set to make a background, Just randomly stamps them all over because who said you need to have just one set of words on a card?

Then I used stampin' blends to color in. I also used the water painters to color in the background to look like sky and ground.

And here's the inside of the card. I layered the designer paper under the white cardstock.

Don't forget to keep hopping and follow the links below to see more summertime projects to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping.  See you soon.

Sunday Fun Day - 2021-2023 In-Colors

Hello Stamping Friends,

I had so much fun creating the cards I'm sharing with you today for the Sisters in Stamping Sunday Fun Day theme of 2021-2023 In-Colors.
I hope you like them at least half as much as I do.

I designed one card and then created it in each of the new In-colors for the 2021-2023 offering. This would be great to make as a gift set to give to a friend. I know I would love to receive a pack of these cute cards as a gift and I think many others would too.

The Party Puffins and Spiral Dye are perfect to pair together. When I first saw the catalog, I knew I needed to get both of those stamps to play with together. And I must admit, I'm so happy I did.

Each card has a monochromatic look. Meaning I used just one color to create each card. Well, besides the black for the adorable puffin.

Pale Papaya

Fresh Freesia

Polished Pink

Soft Succulent

Evening Evergreen

Which color is your favorite?  I'm having a hard time picking just one. I like green and pink so I think I have three favorites from this set of In-colors: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Polished Pink.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping to see more great projects using the 2021-2023 In-Colors.
