Sale-a-brate Good Times

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you are having a great day. And if not that maybe this post will be a little bright spot in  your day. I'm back with a post with the Sisters in Stamping. This week our theme is Sale-a-bration. It is that time of year again here with Stampin' Up! Time for FREE product when  you place a qualifying purchase.

I decided to use the wonderful Designer Series Paper called Favored Flowers to cover a small clipboard and make it not so boring. The paper is 12"x12". I cut one sheet down to six inches and used the front side for the top and the back side for the bottom (well, I guess that just depends on what you view at front and back, lol)

I cut a small strip from another piece of paper from the back to cover the seam between the two. To adhere the paper onto the clipboard, I used a spray adhesive so I could cover the entire thing and make sure it is really stuck on there.

I also took another piece of paper that matches the bottom of the covered clipboard to cover the brand name on my small notepad. Plus, it's just better because it coordinates beautifully with the clipboard.

Then, I took an even smaller strip of paper to cover the ink inside the pen. Each piece looks marvelous on its own, but together its a beautiful set that anyone would be envious of. Definitely a great gift set.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more Sale-a-bration ideas.

Crafty Collaborations - Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy halfway through the week. Hope your week is going swell.  Today I join the Crafty Collaborations for a Valentine's Day Blog Hop. Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, since the days are flying by. I can't believe we are more than halfway through January already.

I made a card that may not scream Valentine's Day, but it certainly is a good card to give to your Valentine,

What's sweeter than sharing a milkshake with your sweetie? One shake and two straws. I used Sweet Sorbet ink, designer series paper, and cardstock, but made the ink have two colors by stamping off, and muted the cardstock by placing a piece of cardstock vellum over it. I love how it looks a little softer than what the cardstock would look like without it.

I stamped the sweet sorbet ice cream top on scrap paper and then stamped a second time without reinking to get it a little lighter. This is a perfect way to get a coordinating color without having a second ink color on hand.

When you stamp the greeting on the vellum, you need to be a little careful because it takes some time to dry. You don't want to smudge it by touching it too early. Also, when attaching the vellum, you put the adhesive on the vellum where there will be other things covering it so you won't see the adhesive through the vellum.

For the ice cream cup, I stamped off the smoky slate and then stamp it for the first layer and then stamped it full strength for the second stamped layer,

Stampers Dozen January Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration

Hello  Stamping Friends,

Hope you are off to a great start this year. I told you I would be posting more and so far, I have been. I hope you are enjoying the stamping inspiration and are getting your supplies out and creating too.

Tonight we are blog hopping with the Stampers Dozen group. The theme is everyone's favorite: Sale-a-bration. Freebies for every qualifying order. Yippee!

The sweet little owl set it just one of many things that you can select from for your FREE items from now though February 28, 2023. Get your orders together and place them on my website or by emailing me today.

For the designer paper stripe across the middle of the card, I used Stampin' Blends to color the black and white paper. Did you ever color your designer series paper? It's a lot of fun and give it a whole new look. I just used the same colors that I used to color the owl and his party hat to make that pop and bring it all together.

Of course, our little owl it popped up on the card using my favorite: dimensionals!!! What would a card be without them?

Remember to keep hopping. You're going to love everyone else's inspiration.

Gratitude Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends,

How is January going so far? Here it's been pretty great. My birthday was wonderful; it lasted the whole weekend.  Woohoo. And we haven't had any major snow storms. Plus, all of our snow we got in December (it was quite a bit) has melted. I am definitely full of gratitude so far this year.

And that's the theme for today Stampin' Dreams blog hop with Crafty Collaboration. We all have so much to be grateful for if we just take a moment to think about it. Sometimes it is easier to to focus on the negative, but if we are grateful and look at the positive things in life we will be happier and healthier. Here's to a year full of gratitude.

I told you earlier this year (haha, we're not even two week into the year) that I would have more cards using the Silly Goose set and here is one more. This goose is sending some "big honkin' thanks." I love the quirky saying.

I set my goose on his soap box so that he could be a little taller to send his big thanks. Doesn't he look so proud of himself? The banner of thanks reminds me of when you say to a child, "How much do you love me?" and he responds with, "this much," as he holds out his arms wide. Our little goose is saying, "I thank you this much!" as he stretches his arms wide.

Don't forget we are full swing into Sale-a-bration and you can earn FREE product with every $50 order you place now through February 28th. Anyone placing an order now through January 21, 2023 will receive a pack of ten cards and envelopes as a thank you. So don't waste anytime. Get those orders in to me as soon as possible so I can get your cards out to you. With the new mini catalog, I don't see you having any problem getting yourself to a qualifying order.

Remember to keep hopping by clicking the links below. You won't be sorry.
