Going, Going, Almost Gone!

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Time for another great post with the Sisters in Stamping. This time around we are saying our fond farewells to some of our favorites that will be retiring in less than a week. That's right, they are going, going, almost gone so if you haven't gotten your shopping list of items yet, don't wait any longer. Place your order today or email/call me and I can do it for you.

There is minimal stamping on this card. I really only stamped the background stamp. The rest is from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. That's right the two banner pieces and even the birds are cut out from sheets in the designer series paper. Isn't that great? Especially if you don't have a lot of time to pull out a ton of stamps and ink.

I used a half of doily to make the birds pop more. The string is there to make it look like pieces from a bird's nest. You know, random pieces of stuff that birds are always finding to make their nest just right.

I actually designed this card with a stamping friend for a bridal shower she was hosting for a friend of hers. They came together very quickly. We made twelve cards in just about two hours and that included the time we spent designing the cards. So, quick and easy for the win again.

We basically ended up with four different designs because we needed the images with two birds together. There are actually a few images on the sheet with three birds but we strategically cut the extra bird out. We actually only needed to use one 12"x12" piece of designer paper to get all the birds we needed.

When we were finished, we were both thrilled with how they turned out. I hope she was able to host the shower because this was just before the whole virus lockdown happened. I'll have to ask her.

Remember we only have a few days left with the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog so don't wait to get your favorites from the retiring list.  Also, go take a peek over at Sisters in Stamping for more ideas using items from the retiring list.
