And the Final Gift from the Christmas Dinner

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. We had a very nice day here at the Yurkanin household. It was kind of quiet but really nice. We celebrate with my family on Christmas Eve and that allows us to just sit home and relax on Christmas day. Well, relax after picking up all the wrapping paper and making Christmas dinner.  And we did just that, we sat around and chilled. Jonah and I are still battling our colds so for us it was nice to just sit without having to be anyway at any special time.

Now it's time to share with you the final gift from our demonstrator Christmas dinner theYurinkin' Stamp Addicts held earlier this month. I love this event because it's very little business and lots of friendship shared. I also love seeing the talent come out of my group in creating their exchange gifts.

Here's Dianne S. opening her gift from Mary Lee M.  What can it be?  Hmmmmm.......

It's a beautiful frame that is decorated with many punched flowers in whisper white and very vanilla cardstock. The picture really doesn't do it justice. It is just so pretty in person.

And finally, Dianne showcasing her gift. I hope you have enjoyed seeing the gifts made by my talented downline. I'm simply amazed each and every year to see the gifts they have made. Each year is better than the last. I've been having this dinner for years now so the bar is set pretty high at this point and no one ever disappoints.

Another Great Gift

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm back to share another gift from our demonstrator Christmas dinner that was held earlier in December for my team.  It really was a great night of food, friendship, gifts and swaps.  It's one of the highlights of the year from my team.

Here we have Patti H. with her gift. It's a beautifully designed advent calendar made by Dianne S. that was defintely made with lots of love. There is so much detail in each number.

Here is a close-up of this calendar. Some of the number open to showcase even more wonderful workmanship.  Great job Dianne. I'm sure Patti will treasure it forever.

I have one more gift to share with you. Be sure to come back to see it.

Christmas Packaging

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today is our final Sisters in Stamping blogpost for the year. And to end the year and holiday season, we decided what better way than to share with you some gift bag ideas. Gift bags are quick and easy packaging or packaging for those ackward size packages that just aren't much fun to wrap.

I decided to go with a quick and simple design on my gift bag. Why, quick & simple?  Well because I realize that it's only a few days before Christmas and time is limited for everyone.   It's a tree made from scraps of designer series paper. I have used so much of the Be of Good Cheer DSP so I have lots of scraps of it left over. Making the tree is a great way use those scraps up.  Now let's think outside the box for a moment.  What else does this tree resemble?  A wedding cake?????  So change up your DSP and you have a whole new look.

I just finished the tree off with a brushed bronze button and cherry cobbler sweater trim (both found in the Holiday Catalog, which will be ending on January 2)

I know you want even more gift bag ideas, so head over to Sisters in Stamping to see the bags created by the other "sisters."

And yet another Gift to Share

Hello Stamping Friends,

First of all, I need to give a big shout out to my little boy, Jonah.  He was a precious gift to me 9 years ago today. I'm so blessed that God has granted me the opportunity to be his Mom.  I seriously don't know how it's even possible that he is now 9 years old.  I'm such a proud mommy though. He is a wonderful, caring, smart, and talented little boy. I could say so much more but I think you get the idea. So all I have left is, Happy Birthday Jonah,  Mommy and Daddy love you so much. Of course, the rest of the family does as well.

And another gift share from the demonstrator Christmas dinner held two weeks ago.  This is MaryLee opening her gift.

And here she is proudly displaying her gifts for us all to see.

And now close up's of both gifts.  The one gift was an altered paint can. Perfect to put a multitude of things in.

And the second gift in her package was this beautiful Christmas wall art piece. MaryLee received her gift from Patti H.  Patti did such a wonderful job on both gifts. I love the watercoloring on the wall art.

And the Gving Continues...

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm back with more gift giving from our demonstrator Christmas dinner we had two weeks ago.  This is Lucia (yes, the one who made my gift that I showed you yesterday) and she was the recipient of the gift I made. I got her gift, she got mine. Not planned at all, just the way our little game worked out.

Hmmm, what's inside???????

A fabric ruffled canvas bag with a matching flower pin (yes, it can come off and you can wear it on a scarf or top). Ooooo, wait, is that more in the box???

Why, yes there is an altered clipboard that coordinates with the bag.

Come back tomorrow to see another team member and the gift she receives.

3 Beautiful White Birds

Hello Stamping Friends,

Back again. I told you I would get back to my regular sharing. I hope I can be forgiven for my absence last week. Today I'm going to start sharing the Christmas gift exchange gifts my team made and received at our Annual Christmas Dinner two weeks ago.  It's always such a great time. We go to a restaurant, have dinner, splurge on some dessert, swap and have a gift exchange. It's definitely one of the events the Yurinkin' Stamp Addicts look forward to every year.

This was the gift I received.  I absolutely love it. Lucia B.was the talented demonstrator who created these beautiful birds.  Each bird (cut from the big shot) has a single word stamped on it (love, peach & joy).  I think I may be leaving these beauties out longer than my holiday decorations.  Lucia was inspired by something similiar she saw on Shelli Gardner's (cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up!) blog.

Here's a close up of the peace bird.  Isn't it awesome?  Each one is a different height to add to the overall presentationl.

This is the joy bird. I know it's difficult to see the "joy."

And the bird with the word love.

And here I am holding my gift.

Come back each day this week for more hand stamped gifts made by my team. Hope you enjoy!

More Christmas Ornaments

Hello Stamping Friends,

Told you I would be back with more ornament ideas. These three ornaments were made by some gals on my team.  We held a demonstrator Christmas dinner last week and we had a ornament swap as well as a gift exchange. Come back next week to see the wonderful gifts these talented ladies made for the gift exchange.

This first ornament was made by Patti H.  She created a beautiful angel using a big shot die.  The cardstock is stamped but for some reason I had a difficult time getting it to show in a picture.

This adorable little snowman was created by Dianne S.  She used punches to make her ornament. He headed straight to my snowman tree. Yes, I put up two large trees and one is completely decorating in all things snow.

And this final ornament was made by Mary Lee M.  She used the tree from from the trio of punches in the holiday catalog to create a wreath. She attached the trees to a glass circle ornament and we can take the stamped poinsetta out and replace it with a picture. Isn't that a great idea?

Hope you enjoyed these ornaments as much as I did.  Remember I'll be back with the exhange gifts so be sure to check back.

I'm Back!!!! And ready to share.

Hello Stamping Friends,

I'm baaaaacccccckkkkk.  Sorry for the delay in posting. I have been super busy around here. It's that time of year afterall. Plus I've been subbing just about everyday. But I'm done with prepping for classes for the rest of the year (yes, I know that's only 2 weeks, but let me believe it's longer with saying that, lol)

I have a lot to share with you over the next week, so be sure to come back and check out what I have everyday. Today is Fabulous Friday at Sisters in Stamping. Our theme this week is ornaments.

I shared a similar ornament last week for the 12 weeks of Christmas. (Check out last week's post to purchase the tutorial, it also has a second ornament included) This uses a different piece of designer paper from the Be of Good Cheer pack. I love how just changing the paper gives it a whole new look.  These ornament would be great to attach to the top of the gifts you are giving this season.  Then your lucky recipient can hang it on their tree for years to come.

Don't forget to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog for more ornament ideas. You are going to love them. And be sure to come back tomorrow. I have 3 ornaments to share with you that a few of the gals on my team made.

A Hand Made Christmas

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I'm debuting the tutorial for Week 10 for theTwelve Weeks of Christmas.  And that means there is ONLY 2 more weeks left before Chrismtas Day. Boy oh boy do I have my work cut out for me in the next two weeks. Lots of shopping, wrapping, baking, stamping and so much more to get done. I can do it, I can do it. That's how I'm gonna get through it.

This week's tutorial is for you to make 2 Christmas ornaments to decorate your tree.  I personally love homemade ornaments.  I've done an ornament exchange for years and absolutely love pulling out the ornaments everyone year and remembering the person who made it. Brings lots of smiles every holiday season. And now there's two more ornaments for you to make for your tree or to add to a gift for the recipient to adorn their tree.

As with all tutorials for the 12 Weeks of Christmas you can purchase the tutorials individually or the complete set of 12. Just click the appropriate link below and the tutorials will be sent to you.

Quick & Easy Gifts

Hello Stamping Friends,

Sorry I didn't stop by yesterday to say hello and give you some inspiration. Life has beena little hectic here. I've been subbing a whole lot (which is a good thing) and then I have had a lot of stamping events (another good thing) but I just think it's catching up to me. I think I'm like one of the kids and am really looking forward to Christmas vacation. No alarms, no places to be, just home and relax.

No time for relaxing now. I have to finish this post and get ready for school. This week at Sisters in Stamping we are showcasing projects that are quick and easy gifts you can make for this holiday season.  I altered a plain old boring clipboard using our designer paper and some mod podge and spruced up a pen so that it would match. I think these would make wonderful teacher gifts.  You can personalize it according to the teacher (or any other person's) interests or likes.

I mean really who wouldn't love to receive one of these. I love the fact that our designer series paper packs make creating so easy. I didn't have to go anywhere but one pack of paper to find three coordinating designs to complete this clipboard. And it looks great (a little Tony the tiger coming out in me, lol)!

My paper pieces are 6" x 9"(two different pieces) and then 1 1/2" x 9" for the middle piece. Just know the measurements of your clip board and then you alter your paper measurements accordingly.

Here's a close up of the pen. Just cut a pieces of designer series paper to 1" x 3 1/4", take the inside of the pen out and roll the paper around the ink. Insert back into pen case and you are FINISHED. Easy peasy, right?

Just another view of the pen, a little further away.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping for more gift inspiration.
