What can I do with that great Stampin' Up! Fabric??????

Have you asked that before?  Well hopefully after the projects this week on Sisters in Stamping you will have a few ideas to start crafting with the great Stampin' Up! fabric that coordinates with so many other accessories.

I used the Flirtatious Designer Fabric for my project.  I made this adorable flower pot that is filled with ink pens.  Each flower stem is an ink pen that you can use.  Isn't it just an adorable accent for any desk?  Don't care for the pink and purple, change out the fabric to whatever your liking.

Each ink pen is wrapped in floral tape and the circle poof flower is attached at the top.  I used a piece of 1/2" scallop dots old olive ribbon as the "leaves" on the stem of the flower.

Just a close up of the top of the flowers.  The flowers are 16 circles folded in half and then half again and stitched together. You do 8 at a time and then hot glue to "halves" together to make a full round flower.

I finished the flower pot off with the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon in Melon Mambo tied around the rim and knotted. A great little touch, in my opinion.  You can even take it a step further and add a cute tag to the ribbon if you are making it for a gift.

And lastly is this week's blog candy.  Remember to leave a comment over on the Sisters in Stamping blog to be entered into the drawing for this month's blog candy.  5 chances to win because there are 5 Friday's in September.  Leave a comment under each week's posting for all your chances.
