Easy Packaging Idea for Fabulous Friday

Just in time for Christmas gift packaging, the Sisters in Stamping Blog is giving you some more ideas. For my project this week I decided to pretty up a plain white gift sack using some scraps of my Christmas Designer Series paper.

The above picture is a close up of the bag so you could see some more detail. I used the square scallop punch to punch out a bunch of pieces to cover the bag. Side note: before you drive yourself crazy with the layout, don't think too much about it. Key thing is to not have the same color on top of or next to each other. Otherwise just have fun and remember Don't think too much. To close the bag I used the wide striped olive ribbon and just knotted a piece on each side of the handles.

Here is the full shot of the bag. For this particular size bag, I used 40 squares. I taped one row down at a time and then moved up the bag. Decorating gift sacks like this is a great way to use up all those too small to really use but definitely too big to throw away pieces of Designer Series paper.
Now go get yourself some gift sacks and start making them pretty. Afterall, we all seem to love using gift bags this way, why not make one extra special to put your special gifts in this Holiday season.
Remember to hope on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what the other sisters created for their packaging ideas.
