Hope you are doing wonderful today.It's almost February so hold on because Winter is closer to being over. I think although February is the shortest month of the year, it feels like the longest one. Why is that? Hmm, maybe the freezing cold, extra snowy days?
This week at Sisters in Stamping we are showing you the individual stamp, Love is Kindness. It was supposed to be any of the single stamps but somehow we all picked this stamp. Maybe because it is such an awesome one and we are all thinking Spring and tulips. It's pretty neat seeing three people use the same stamp and come up with totally different cards. Don't forget to go check them out.
Here's my card using Love is Kindness. A bright cheerful card that will make any day a little brighter. You can even make this stamp a little more versatile (aka, easier to use without the saying or able to stamp the saying in another area) by cutting the saying away from the image and mounting it on the side of the block. Then you can use the image for any type of card you may need: Sympathy, Easter, Thinking of you, Thank you, Birthday or any other reason you will need a card.
A fun little addition to this card is that I stamped the "paper" a second time on solid yellow designer paper from the Painted Bloom pack and cut it out to add more texture and dimension to the card. Before I adhered it to the card, I wrapped a piece of basic black baker's twine around the cut out paper and tied a little bow (since the stamped image has a bow) to make it even more realistic. Cute, right?
I even stamped the inside of the card to make that a little more cheerful. Just stamp the top of the stems of tulips and color them in. I have to say I love the blendabilities to color with now. And most of you know, I was NOT a person who enjoyed coloring before. These markers make it so easy and the finished project looks so professional. They make you an artist. Isn't that great?
