What Can You Do with the Ladybug Punch?

Have you ever looked at a punch and said, "Wait a minute! I can make _____ from that too?"  So many times you can make more than one thing from a punch. It's all how you look at it, what you can add to it, or what you can cut off of it.

Well, take the ladybug punch for example. Obviously, it's a ladybug, but look it can also be cute little bumblebee by cutting thin strips of yellow cardstock and punching the wings from vellum.

This card is even more fun because it has an extra little surprise with a fun-fold.

And you wouldn't even know it by looking at the closed card.

It starts with a basic card base. But then I added a 8" x 10 1/2" piece of white cardstock that is scored in half and attached to the inside of the base so the white opens on the left instead of the right like a regular card.

This allows you to have more room on the inside to write a message and it also hides the writing so it doesn't show through the punched circle.

Isn't that the easiest fun fold card ever?

Stampers Dozen - In With the New

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen group. This month we are excited to share some projects with new stuff from the January - June Mini Catalog. Make sure you keep hopping along because you won't want to miss any of these great projects.

I love this Hello Ladybug stamp set. Do you know why? I bet you will never guess. (It certainly isn't the polka dots; I promise) If you believe that side not, I can tell you more. HAHA

Anyway, isn't this card the cutest thing ever? I made my own polka dot paper using a dauber and black ink. I needed the paper to match the ladybugs. You know how much I love my matching.

Once I attached the ladybugs and the leaf (well in opposite order), I doodled around the edge of the white cardstock to really finish off the card.

I hope you love it as much as I do. Remember to keep hopping. You won't be disappointed.
