Christmas in July

Hello Stamping Friends,

Hope all of you had a great week. This week at the Sisters in Stamping we are celebrating Christmas in July. And to make it a little sweeter I made a card using some items from the upcoming August - December 2020 mini catalog to give you a sneak peek. You are going to love the mini catalog because it is packed full of awesome new goodies to create with.

Isn't this little elf adorable? He is also the epitome of Christmas decorating for so many of us, tangled in lights as we try to decorate. I also absolutely love the new plaid paper. So many color varieties that will last through the fall and holiday season. But then again, you know I love my stripes and polka dots.

Don't forget to head over to Sisters in Stamping to see more Christmas in July ideas.  Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

Let's Hear it for the Red, White, & Blue

Remember to Create!

Hello Stamping Friends,

Let's hear it for the red, white, and blue. That's what this month's blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen is all about. I love our patriotic colors. They are so bold and the meaning behind each color is so significant.

I used what some may say is an unconventional stamp set to cover the theme, but I still think it's perfect. Make me think back to when the first settlers came to America. What were they thinking as they finally saw land after the harrowing trek across the sea? I know many did not make it or were very ill upon arrival. But for those that were able to see it with their own eyes, it was the freedom they set off for that lay before them. I'm sure there wasn't a lighthouse there to greet them, but I feel it's still a powerful image for anyone to see if you were out to see a long time.

The saying, "Let hope be your lighthouse, beckoning you through stormy seas," can be a saying that helps so often throughout a person's lifetime, but I definitely feel it is appropriate now with all that every person is enduring. We all have our own reactions/feelings to this pandemic that we struggle with and we need to let our lighthouse get us through these stormy seas.

Remember to keep hopping because you won't want to miss the other great projects that we are sharing. Thank you for stopping by. I can't wait to see you again.

Time for a Little New

Hello Stamping Friends,

This week with Sisters in Stamping we are sharing some projects made with new things from the annual catalog. I used new designer series paper and a new stamp set on my card. Anyone that knows me, knows how much the color green means to me, so this pack of paper went on my "need to order" list immediately after seeing it. No surprise there, right?

The gigantic sunflower is so pretty colored in, but I left it uncolored and I still love the look of it. It can be so verstile. This card is a pretty simple design, but the overall look is clean and impressive. You can make a whole stack of thank you cards for gift-giving very easily and the recipient will love them. I promise.

Don't forget to check out Sisters in Stamping for more projects using new items from the annual catalog.
