It's time for another great blog hop with the Stamper's Dozen ladies. This month we are saying goodbye to some of our favorites. You have just about two weeks left to get your favorites from the retiring list. What are you waiting for? Remember, there are limited quantities and once they are gone, they are gone forever. So order today.
I love the Sheltering Tree stamp set. The name is great too. Don't we all just want to be sheltered once in a while by a big old tree with a swing hanging from a large branch? There's just something so comforting by the thought of it. Perhaps, it's just the simpler times in life as a child. Who knows.
This stamp set is so fun to make cards with and they come together relatively quickly without too much effort. For this card, I placed the small cut white square of cardstock on the center of the front of the white rectangle and stamped the leaves stamp. Then I removed the square piece, stamped the trunk and swing and added two layers of cardstock, cherry cobbler and call me clover to mat the square and hid the space that is left when you stamp on two piece of cardstock placed on top of each other.
I added a little dash of grass to the bottom corner for a fun look and to take away from all the white space after I stamped the greeting.
This card can be made in a relatively short amount of time with minimal product so you can make a bunch of these even when you are on the go.
So, what's your favorite retiring stamp set that you will be sad to see go?
