Hope you are all doing well. Prepping for the big snowstorm that's coming tomorrow? Do you think it will really happen? That's the bigger question. We have had several calls this winter for a good storm and they kind of all withered away. Let's see what's going to happen.
Today's card is a fun little card to make. If you are looking for a different fold, this one is so easy to do. Yet, it still gives a whole new look instead of the same 'ole opening on the side or the bottom from a single fold. It's a "z-fold" card.
A z-fold card is very easy to do. No unique measurements or scoring. You start with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock. Fold it in half. Then fold the opening edge back the folded edge. That's it. Of course, if you wanted to you can score it at 5 1/2" and then at 2 3/4" but who needs measurements when you can just fold it yourself.
Then you layer the inside and the folded piece however you like. For this card, I made my own "designer series paper" for the outside fold by stamping all over whisper white cardstock with the flower center and the outline randomly.
Then you cut the center piece (the focal point) to the size you need for whatever you are stamping on it. Of course, cutting out the strawberries and attaching them with dimensionals is the icing on the cake.
