It's FRIDAY! Woohoo. Now that I've been working so much at the school, I really look forward to Friday's, more than ever to be honest. I love being at the school and teaching but I really enjoy the downtime of the weekends, even if we are busy with family things or I'm doing workshops, classes or other events. What do you have planned for this weekend? Does it involve taking pictures? This card for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday posting may be just the thing for you then.
This week was a big week at Stampin' Up! The retirement list made it's debut, so that's the challenge we went with. Use something from the retirement list. Everyone is always excited yet sad when the list comes out. Excited knowing that there are many great new things on the way when the new catalog comes out on June 2 and sad because sometimes some of our favorite things are going away.
This card uses more than just a retiring stamp on it. The designer series paper is retiring, the on film framelits are also on the retirement list. SO, if these are things you want, you should order as soon as possible. All accessories are on a limited basis right now and once the supply is depleted, it's gone for good.
This card looks like it's difficult but in reality it really is pretty simple. It's just that there are a lot of layers and dimension going on. I die cut the film strip and the Polaroid frame using the on film framelits. Pretty fun framelits for so many occasions if you ask me. I colored the camera in with markers and cut it out. It is attached to the card using dimensionals.
I purposely left off a greeting so the card can be used for any occasion, bu you can easily stamp a greeting on the bottom of the Polaroid frame. Fun card, isn't it?
Head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more samples using retiring stamps.
