It's the time of year for football (or soccer, in our house), apples, pumpkins, colorful leaves, scarecrows and other fun fall activities. I just don't know where the summer went. Why does it always go by so quickly? I just wish the Winter goes by just as quickly. It never seems to though.
Anyway, today at Sisters in Stamping we are sharing with you some great fall home décor pieces to add to your Fall decorations. These items are also great to give as a gift to a hostess for a party you may be attending or just because to let someone know you were thinking of them.
I decided to make a candy jar. If you know me, I always have candy available somewhere in my house. Funny thing is, my family rarely touches the candy because it's always there. I just love having it for visitors to enjoy while at our home. Besides, fall is a great time to have candy out for guest because of Halloween. It's all over the place in stores and makes you want it. So I buy it but we rarely eat it.
Just a little close-up of the front of the jar. The leaves are embossed using the wood grain embossing folder. I love the texture it adds to the leaves that would otherwise be plain. The bow was made by hot gluing pieces of the ribbon together. Much easier for me than trying to make it all fluffy with one long piece of ribbon.
