Fab Friday gets Punchy

Yeah, it's Friday. I'm excited because tomorrow is my Sale-a-bration Open House and I can't wait to see everyone and share with them a few projects that they will be able to make and take home with them. If you are available stop on over any time between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

Enough about that for now. It's time for another Fabulous Friday over at Sisters in Stamping. This week we decided to focus on the great new punches from the Occasions Mini Catalog. They are a new design and some of them are extra large.

I decided to go for a soft look for my card. I used the Scallop Trim Corner Punch (#118870 $9.95) and the extra large fancy flower punch (#118073 $15.95) from the Occasions Mini. I also used the Scallop Trim Border Punch from the Sale-a-bration Catalog (which by the way, you can get FREE with any $50 order now through the end of March).

Stampin' Up! has a video on You Tube on how to use the corner and border punches together. Here's the link if you would like to learn more. It is very helpful and informative.

I also used my polka dot embossing folder for the Big shot for the background. Since my dot background stamp is no longer availabe (and I loved that stamp), I had to move on to another dot option and that is definitely my embossing folder. It gets used a lot.

I used whisper white and pretty in pink cardstock for this card. I punched 5 flower and then crinkled them all up. I layered them together and kept them together using one of the pretty ice circle rhinestone brads.

The flower is attached with nothing else but dimensionals. (I'm sure you knew that already) and the layer the flower is on is also raised up a bit with dimensionals.

It's a pretty simple looking card that has an air of elegance about it. Have a great day and check back often.
