Stamper's Dozen March Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration Second Release

Hello Stamping Friends,

Here it is March 14, just about halfway through the month and we are in the final 2 weeks of Sale-a-bration. Time is just flying by. You have 2 weeks left to earn some FREE goodies from either of the Sale-a-bration brochures. There are so many great items in there, you're not going to want to miss out. Today the Stamper's Dozen group is sharing with you some of the awesome new products that were released in the second release of Sale-a-bration items. I personally feel in love with the basket bundle. The stamp set if great but add the textured embossing folder with it and you have yourself quite a special treat.

This card has such a simple message that can be used for any friend in need. Nothing more needs to be said if you tell them you are there for them.

Notice on the basket of flowers that there are six flowers. The basket only has three when you stamp them. I stamped it a second time, colored and then cut them out. Added dimensionals to the back of them and added them to the basket to make it fuller.

I also completely cut out the basket (yep, including the inside of the handle) and added that to the card using dimensionals. If you like fussy cutting, you'll love making multiples of this one.

I used the Stampin' Blends to color the basket and flowers. It was finished off with two bows on each side of the handle. The perfect touch if you ask me.

Get Crafty During National Craft Month

Hello Stamping Friends,

Did you know that March is National Craft Month? So it's time to get your craft on and start making some of those pretty things that have been on your to do list. I'm sure there are plenty of things that have been waiting for you to make.

I am part of a blog hop today to share with you some crafty paper inspired projects. So be sure to scroll to the end of the post to continue on to the rest of the hop and get even more inspiration. You won't be sorry. The hop is full of talented stampers/crafters and you won't want to miss one blog.

I made these adorable little treat holders using designer series paper, Naturally Eclectic to cover the base of the round tins and the rim of the lid. I used two different papers to add more to the finished look. Then I stamped the daisy from Delightful Daisy in rich razzleberry onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock and whisper white cardstock. Punch them out and layer them together with dimensionals in between each layer. There's three flowers punched out to make the one flower. Then just add one of the Gold Faceted Gems to the center of the flower to complete it.

I found these beauties at the local dollar store. There are even two in a pack and to make them even sweeter  they have a magnet bottom so they will stick to any magnetic surface. You can use them for some office supplies, a gift box for some jewelry, or like I did with some candy. They make great party favors or I'm just thinking about you gifts, too.

Wouldn't you be delighted to receive this little gift for no reason? They are quick and easy to make with minimal supplies as well. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to keep hopping. See you soon.

Think Spring

Hello Stamping Friends,

I hope you are all warm, dry and safe this wicked Friday afternoon. Here in Northeast Pennsylvania we are getting hit with a Nor'easter. The wind is blowing, we have over a foot of snow and it's still coming. The blowing wind makes this storm a bugger to clean up from. I shoveled the side woods for Sasha to go out this morning and now it is almost waist high filled back in with snow. However, the side yard up a bit from there is completely clear and you can see the grass. Now just to get the dog to go over there instead because there's no way I'm shoveling all of that for her to get to her "spot." Actually, I just need to get her to go outside again. I open the door and the wind gushes in while she runs back through the house to safety.

Anyway, it's time for another Fabulous Friday post with Sisters in Stamping. Funny thing, is I picked the theme Think Spring for today.  Pretty ironic, huh? I'm thinking Spring, but it's no where near Spring when I look outside. However, I think this card is screaming Spring. One of my groups asked if I could show them how to make this card and I was more than happy to oblige. I made these lattice cards years ago when I first began stamping as a demonstrator (that was just a few 17 years ago, lol). It was pretty fun to make them again.

I think the pink (melon mambo) and  yellow (crushed curry) flowers on the "vine" are nice, bright and cheery telling us Spring is around the corner. I used Pear Pizzazz for the vines. The Lovely Wishes stamp set was great for the flowers and vine. It is in the Occasions catalog if you missed it.

I'll close with a little glimpse into my world today. See that house way back there? Yep, it's my house. My driveway is super long, which usually is a great thing. However, with storms like this I don't think it's so great when I get to go out there and shovel. Jonah and I were out there for over an hour and didn't even get half of the driveway finished. We'll head back out after the storm.

Need more Spring thoughts? Head over to Sisters in Stamping for more Spring inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.
