Fun Fold with the Sisters in Stamping

Hello Stamping Friends,

So glad you decided to join me again. I know I have been a bit absent lately and I hope you accept my apologies. It is a super crazy time in the Yurkanin house right now. It's fall soccer season, back to school season. Yep, Jonah plays junior high soccer and travel soccer in the fall so we are going 6, even 7 days a week with soccer practice or games. And then we're back to school. I'm still subbing this year but there's been a bit of a twist, I'm the long term sub for kindergarten and 1st grade music. Interesting, right? It's a stretch for me as I am not a music certified teacher but I am settling in just nicely and am really enjoying it. The first week of school, I was a nervous wreck, now, it's just what I do and I think I'm doing a pretty good job considering all things.

So things are settling in, junior high soccer is almost over, and I will be back and posting more often. I know you are excited about that and I am too. Today the Sisters in Stamping are sharing cards with fun folds and I love the card I'm sharing with you.

This card was inspired by a swap card I received from my friend Melanie from Canada. She always does the most intricate, amazing projects so I wasn't surprised when the card that one of my stampers wanted to learn how to make was one of Mel's cards. I got busy figuring out the scoring and cutting for this card. Surprisingly enough it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it might be (which made me happy).

Here it is open.  Neat, right? The whole lot of lovely designer series paper was the starting point for my card. Then added the Garden in Bloom stamp set. I love how soft and soothing this card turned out. The person receiving this card will treasure it for a long time.

The attention to detail, cut out flowers, layers of cardstock and designer paper and the little fluttering butterfly makes it a gift in itself. The recipient will know jut how special they are to you after they receive this beauty.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping for more fun folds.

Thanks for stopping by.
