Is It a Bag or an Envelope?

Hello Stamping Friends,

It is the final day of November and we all know what tomorrow is then. The very first day of a month that will fly by in the blink of an eye, December! I love the holidays and the preparations (shopping, baking, wrapping, friends) but I just wish it didn't go as fast as the speed of light. Anyone agree?

This little card/gift card holder/envelope is a fun little project to make. Of course, like many projects that I share you can switch it out for any other occasion you may want to give a gift card for by changing the stamps and even the colors.

Fun Bagolope that Holds a Gift Card in the Front Pocket

You just fold one of Stampin' Up!'s great kraft bags almost in half and then fold back the front to make a flap that will cover the seam of the back of the bag. Stamp it however you would like. Die-cut or punch out some stamped images (you can even cut them out by hand if they don't have any coordinating punches or die-cuts, GASP!)

Use some washi tape on the sides (half on the front, then the other half folded over to the back side to "seal" the bag closed on the folded sides.  The front pocket becomes a perfect little space to tuck the recipients favorite gift card. The "inside" of the bag where you would usually put a treat, you can slide in a little notecard to wish your friend/loved one a happy holiday.

Card Taken out of the "bagolope"

Here's the card taken out so you can see how simple it can be to make these even at the last minute. I know you never work that way, just like I never work that way. HAHA (Just kidding, it's more shocking if I'm not last minute with my projects.)

Cyber Monday, Did You Save Today

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Cyber Monday to you and yours! Hope your day is filled with savings, that you love and happiness while you enjoy a little Holiday shopping from the comfort of home..  I'm taking a moment out of my cyber shopping to share this card with you.

The greeting is "My world is brighter and more beautiful because of you."  I can honestly say I agree with this saying. I am so thankful for each one of my stamping friends that I have known for the past 15 years. It's been an incredible journey being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. So many things that I never dreamed of doing and accomplishing when I joined the Stampin' Up! family way back in 2001. The best part is there isn't one regret. I would do it all over again. Thank you for being a great stamping friends, too. The best part of my "job" is meeting great people who want to learn new stamping ideas and techniques.

This card is easily duplicatible. Nothing too fancy to do. Just some stamps, ink, and paper and you are ready to go. The designer series paper makes your job even easier because it picks great coordinating colors for you.

Don't forget Stampin' Up! has their own cyber Monday deals going on. Head on over to my website to see all of the deals. You can order online or shoot me an email and I can do it for you. Today is the FINAL day of the Online Extravaganza. Don't miss out.

Don't forget the Online Extravaganza Going On Now

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy Black Friday to you. Are you all shopped out? I am not one of those crazy Black Friday shoppers. I can't be bothered with the crowds. I believe there are still many great deals out there from now until Christmas and I'll just leisurely shop when I can. I know many of you love the thrill of getting that good deal because you waited in line through the night and I just say, "More power to you!" I just don't have the patience or stamina to do it.

Today I am sharing with you a quick, little birthday card with you. (Don't worry, soon enough you will have lots of Christmas stuff coming your way) Funny story behind this card, back in July when I went camping with some great demonstrator friends we were making cards and a 3D project using one stamp set. Well, in my little head, I was making 3 cards and one 3D project. However, once I got there and we all started showing each other our stamp set projects I quickly realized my idea that was in my head was wrong. I was supposed to make 4 cards. So I got busy right away, even though my friends were great and telling me not to worry, I HAD to do my part. And this card was the end result. I had all the extra cardstock with me just in case for my other projects so it just flowed together nicely. What do you think?

You can easily change the fruit and the designer paper sheet to one of the other pieces from the stamp set and paper pack and have a great coordinating pack of cards that all look just a bit different (but not really).

Now I need to be off to finish making my Christmas cards that I started last year. Hopefully they get finished and sent out this year. That's what happens when you pick a card that has A LOT of steps to it.

Don't forget the Online Extravaganza going on until Monday. Save on a lot of your favorite items. Plus the stamps sets that are on sale with the Stitched Framelits special.

Happy Day Before Thanksgiving

Hello Stamping Friends,

Happy day before Thanksgiving to you. I'm sure you are busy, busy, busy today getting ready for the big turkey day tomorrow. I know I will be going non-stop, especially once I get home from school today. Baking, prepping food, cleaning, the list goes on. Although, I'm pretty sure most of you will have identical lists as mine.

Just a quick drop by today to share a pretty card that uses the basket of wishes stamp set to make a cute basket of sunflowers card. The designer series paper, Playful Palette had the perfect green paper for how I wanted this card to look. I like the look of this card with the elements offset instead of centered. What do you think?

The In-color lace doilies were the perfect touch too. I colored the basic Rhinestones with a permanent marker to get them "gold."

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Enjoy each other, that's what holidays should really be about.

Don't forget about the great Online Extravaganza going on through Monday. Deals are everywhere.

And the 25% off sale on these stamp sets. The stitched framelits have been so popular that we can not order them right now. They will be available again soon.
