For Peep's Sake, It's Almost Easter

Hello Stamping Friends,

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday with the Sisters in Stamping. This week the sisters selected Easter as the theme. It is only about a week away. I'm sharing with you an adorable card using the For Peep's Sake stamp set from the Occasions catalog. Personally, I love the saying and just couldn't resist getting this set. It's such a fun set for kid's cards or treats. And by kids, I mean both BIG and small. What makes this card even better is that it's a movement card, which makes it fun to "play" with.

I used the Birthday Bash designer series paper as my starting point, which made it super easy to focus on colors. I just needed to look on the back of the paper package to see what colors are used on the paper and go from there. I wanted this card to be fun so that's why I used the circle card thinlit.

Here's a view of the right side flap open. To get the flap I cut my cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and slide that into the thinlit with the right side of the paper over the top of the thinlit. If you don't do that you will cut the card stock and not have a flap. I added the whisper white cardstock so you can easily write a message inside that will be hidden when the flap is closed.

And here's a view with the entire card open. The thinlit is so great because it cuts and scores the card exactly where you need it so you don't have to measure, score and hope you did it right. It was a bit tedious to color the eggs but I love how they look. Much better than not colored, trust me.

Don't forget to head over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more Easter ideas.

Also, there's only 4 more days left of Sale-a-bration. Did you get your FREEBIES?  Don't forget to place your order on my website or contact me to order for you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Has Sprung

Hello Stamping Friends,

Spring has sprung. Happy First day of Spring! Even if it is snowing like crazy here in NEPA. Another snow day for our school as well. I must say, I'm more than ready to see some blooming flowers around here. It will still be a while here though. Still a ton of snow on the ground and more coming as I type. Not exactly the best start to spring but I know it will get better. (It has to)

So instead of looking out the window and seeing some flowers popping up, I'm sharing some great blooming flowers with you here today. Since it is the first day of Spring the Sisters in Stamping selected flowers as the theme to kick off a new season.

There's even some lacy flowers on the background thanks to the awesome embossing folder. This card definitely says spring. Use a couple of punches and get some great blooming little flowers. The calypso coral really makes a popping statement for this card.

To make the tag for the card, I punched the leaves and stems from the bird punch. I cut the stem off at the leaves and attached that to the tag (some will be hanging off that you will need to cut off). I then cut the top and bottom leaves off of the leaf cluster and kept the two center leaves attached. I added them to different positions on each stem to make the flowers look more realistic. The flower is from the itty bitty accents punch pack. Perfect sized flower for the stem. And what makes the flower even better is the rhinestones for the center for each flower.

The little piece of designer paper adds the perfect finishing touch. It's punched using the dotted scallop ribbon border which makes it a little more fun. The stamp is colored with Stampin' Write markers so I could get the multi-color.

Don't forget to check out Sisters in Stamping for even more great projects to get ready for the start of spring. You won't be disappointed.

Also, there's just over a week left to Sale-a-bration, so don't let time get away from you and you miss the biggest sale of the year.
