A Fun Fold Snowflake Card

Hello Stamping Friends,

It's Friday again and that means Sisters in Stamping is ready for another challenge to share with all of you. This week's challenge is to make a fun fold card. I think I "cheated" a bit and started with the awesome snowflake thinlit that makes a fun fold card by itself but I added to it by making it open.

The thinlits just makes a swing card that is difficult to write a message in but if you begin with a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock and then slip the cardstock above the one side of the thinlit (the wider side) you will get an extended card that folds over (and under the cut out snowflake) so you can write a message and make the card a little more fun.

Look, mom, no stamps. Seriously, I created this card without any stamps at all. Just the big shot, thinlits, cardstock, paper, some accessories and adhesives (see below for all of it). I love the way it turned out. It really didn't take too long to make either, which is a bonus.

See the center snowflake that is white? Well, that snowflake isn't a part of the thinlit. Watch the video below from Stampin' Up! to see just how I was able to get a full snowflake in a different color than the base of the card. It's makes this set of thinlits so much more versatile than you originally thought.

Don't forget to head on over to Sisters in Stamping for more great fun fold card ideas.
